I really need some answers... so I am posting in this sub forum instead since I did not get any answers from the character one...

As of right now, I am planning to add just Int till lvl 20 or even 18 to sp farm at den then after that I will add str forever and become a pure str/fire glaive...
will this work? is this sensible?
how much HP will i be losing? (does the added MP counter balance for the shortage of HP?)
WIll I do fine as a semi-pure str glaive?

In won't matter much end game, if you feel bad about about it just get gear with +STR attributes later...otherwise no worries...

u can put int on the armor if u want but y screw up a pure str by adding int

So should i stop adding int at lvl 18 or is it ok at lvl 20? because i can 99% 1 shot archer already

...take it till you can 1 shot them, afterwards don't bother trying to lvl, just keep delvling..

generally its if you can 1 shot them with just the imbue only is the fastest farming method...

I strongly advise against it. IMO, INT's can hybridize, but STR's should remain Pure STR's. You'll be losing damage from your Crit, although your average damage may improve a little due to the higher damage of your imbue. So no, I don't recommend it. You SHOULD be able to one-shot Bandit Archers at the Den as a Pure STR provided that you have nice blues on all your gear, and either an SoM bow or a nice SoS bow. I've never farmed at the den, but I believe my Pure STR Blader friend, when I used to play, told me that he could one-shot BA's 100% of the time with an SoS+5 bow and almost full blues on his gear. He was a Pure STR.

If you do decide to add INT though, I'd suggest only adding INT to L16. At L16 if you went Pure STR, you would have 1076 HP. If you went Pure INT, you would have 471 HP. So you would be losing a little big around 600 HP. However, 16 levels of INT would make a significant damage on your Critical at L70 - 80, I'm assuming, so that's why I recommend against it.
And you can always supplement your low mana with INT blues on your gear, so MP is rarely a problem for STR's.

thing is im using sos+4 bow
with all equip with +3int except for ... 1 piece and another with +2 int
and i tried before, i cant really 1 shot K0 archers, i need two....

is it really THAT bad?

I hvnt seen Hybrid str 20 lvl int before, but from the Str heavy hybrids that I have seen at cap lvl pvp, they seem to be doing just as good as pure str chars. Though 20lvls of int is a lot of hp lost as you can see from the pics.

Since you are a heuksal user, think of hybrids as falling somewhere in a spectrum (where you are, is the ideal distance you should be when pvping).

Nukers use range, glaiviers aggro the target. Hybrids well, couldnt tank as much so you have to time your atks. All in all, its not ideal for what it could do (lack of skills to support its position) though you can still play like this depending on your masteries (eg taking snow shield for added defense) but doing so will be stretching your mastery limit (since you are already planning fire/glaive or maybe lightning?).

If this confuses you then its good. That means you are thinking

Wow, I never thought to take his 20 Levels of Pure INT and then see what it would do to his final L80 build!
Aura, as you can see, it's a horrible idea to put in that much INT. 20 levels of INT is 1/4 of 80, and that will (not could) wreck serious havoc on your Criticals compared to a Pure STR of your Level, not to mention the 3K HP decrease.

On another note, are you firm on wanting to be a Glavier? You could do a 70:70 bow build, or a STR-Heavy bow. I think EllisD is a STR-Heavy bow, and that works out pretty good for him. The additional INT wouldn't kill your build in the LONG run, although for about 20-30 levels after you're done farming, you'll be a little gimped, considering that you're essentially a 1:1 Hybrid build.
If I were you, and I really couldn't afford a better bow to farm with, I'd just recommend going with a bow build. I haven't played SRO after the skills have been updated, but I've heard that the new bow skills are pretty good.


It's getting very late where I live, so I'm going to bed now. I think I've made some valid points, not to mention Sylhana's very detailed explanation. And I'm sure more people could help you and persuade you not to make a Hybrid STR, unless it's a Bow build.
(I haven't played the game since the Euro update, so don't quote me on anything I've said, but I don't believe anything's changed that much in respect to Hybrid STR's.)

I like the idea of a S/S Nuker pure INT but why ice and not fire

Ice is a weak nuke and fire is the most powerful, I would get Light/Fire as my forces

im not really experienced in the field of nukers so please help me a bit


the thing is i heard that it is really hard/impossible to lvl up 4 trees later on in the game
so because i need the weapon tree for sure, the lit for speed and cold for defensive .
3 trees are already a lot .. so i dunno about fire now...

Ok this is what I would recommend:

Level bicheon, light, and fire only. You don't need Ice for you will use Armor for Physical Defense. And for your magical defense max out the fire Buff, also get every lightening skill except for the imbue which will be fire (imo).

No because your wanting to take out Fire and get Ice, but Ice is a weak nuke get Fire nukes trust me it is worth it. Its just that lightening skills are essential to a Nuker but that doesn't mean to take out Fire for Ice.
