Just cannot decide between starting a chinese pure int nuker or an european wizard. Here is my two questions:

1: is there a sub-class for wizard what can increase their defence or hp?
2:Does the patheon range increase skill increases the range of the chinese nukes?

(i know that is topic is not in the right forum, but every people who come to SRF check this forum (General Discussion) and almost nobody the Character Skills forum. There i don'T get any post for my questions, here i usually get 5 posts in 5 minutes )

1. Warrior sub-class for Wizard would allow you to wear heavy armour to raise your defense, and there is a HP increase buff also on the Warrior tree but you sacrifice attack power for it.

I don't recommend Warrior sub.

anyway, euros are all about teamwork...

chinese nuker chars will probably do better in a solo situation, but their damage won't be as high as a euro wizard of the same level (and same gear)

what you might want to consider is getting cleric for your wizard, and use the bless skill, which greatly increases your phy and mag def for 45 seconds... works great with my warlock char when i need to tank giants and what not a few levels higher than me..

no no no no, wizard with bard is so better, noise+moving march ppl come on at lvl40 noise lvl3/4 i forgot all ready prevents from lvl60 down + moving at lvl40 gives 50% i think (haven't lvled it yet). I'd say don't go chinese nuker unless you know what your doing cause unlike Euro wizards who have everything they need in one tree, you mess up something in chinese its gonna cost you big time.

ya i have a wizzard and china nuker, kinds stoped playing both for now, but the wizzard is way more damaging but dies alot more, try the wizzard with a bard sub class, you'll need to keep a few lvls gap in mastery though to keep up all the sp you'll need

I am currently trying the super fast chinese nuker guide, posted in guides by Cobzz. I already have a Euro Wizard.

Euro Wizards can solo fine and well, and as someone mentioned Wiz/Bard is great for this due to Moving March and Noise. However in order to keep Noise at a sufficient level you will need to keep Bard near your wizard level. Every 10 levels of bard will be needed, and Noise will need to be at that level. This will create a crunch on SP so be sure to calculate your SP properly.

Do not try to max every Wizard skill, especially if you sub another profession like Bard. I recommend slinky gapping even if you take no sub.

In response to all the "Well wizard will party, chinese will solo" blah blahs...nothing stops or hinders Chinese from partying or wizard from soloing. Only your lack of consideration does.

I say pick the one you like the LOOK of best. Do you really like a s/s nuker or spear nuker in SoS garms? Do you prefer euro garms?

Personally I think it really just comes down to that. Overall though, I think Euro Wizard can level faster with a balanced build, while Chinese Nuker may level faster or at least no slower with the super fast guide I mentioned.
