Is this skill worth getting? Seems like it only hit once, has low damage (53%), and doesn't have any other special effects (KD/KB) other than having a longer range of +15m.

It's the "pulling" skill. It is awesome. At first I thought it was crap, but after experimenting I fell in love...

It's also good for 1 shotting level 10s trying to cape PvP.

This must be the most underestimate skill in the rogue tree, anyway its really a good skill. Its dmg can be low, but has allmost no cooldown, and a insane range also, if the mob/player has enough disance, you can kill him just spamming Fast shot, in the time him come close enougth to hit you, is allready dead.

Also its a way to keep making dmg in between the others skills cooldown.

If you are using Xbow desperate, and a giant spawn, get your wolf to tank, run until max range, and start to poison-fast shot, first, 1 shot, wait a couple of secs, and shot again, do until 1/3 of the giant's hp go down, then spam fast shot as fast as you can(with poison) until 1/2 giant's hp. After that use wathever skill you want, because the giant has is aggro clamped to your wolf, and never turn on you.

It's a preety good skill while you're reloading others skills, it hits a lot faster than a normal attack. =)

lol, u guys just dont know how to use it. when i'm in a pt, i will be the one to lure mobs to the pt. they just stay in one place and i bring all the mobs. the killing rate will be insane and exp will fly. try it and u'll love it.

Anyways, its a good puller as everyone else said, plus a good inbetween skill. ex:
longshot
quick shot
power shot
quick shot

ect ect, since it shoots instantly and moves quickly(sometimes it reaches the mob faster than the skill i used before it >.<). Extra damage, plus at lvl 60, the upgraded version will pwn for plvling

sometimes i power lvl ...i use it to lure the mob fast before the mob hits the low char.You can lure them in parties.I don't know if it's good to use 400SP to get it from lvl 42 to lvl 46 or 571SP to get it from lvl 50 to 54.you can use it to finish them but i don't know if it's balances with the SP lost on upgrading it.I think it would be better to use the SP on something else.
i'd adive you to get lvl 1 on fast shot and leave it that way.useless to use like 2k SP to get it to lvl 50 or so.

yea it's good for luring but i wont be upgrading it will i'm near lvl 60 to get rapid shot which i heard is important when ganged up

Its really good for finishing off people especially nukers (also finishes off the runners )

So I guess its best to leave it at lvl 1 for luring purposes?

Longshot + Fastshot

From the above, it seems like doing 2 skills but when u're in-game and u do that the damage is almost instantaneous so it's like an additional 53% to your intended skill.

Besides, when u end with Fastshot, it won't cause you to use normal attack unlike ending with PowerShot which causes normal attack to follow.

That's good cause you don't wanna waste time loading a normal attack, you wanna be able to kite and shoot (For SPfarming, Gianting and such)

I have to recognize that I dont use it much with my rogue, but I think their function is like the arrow combo on chinesse archer. Launch a strong skill, spam a few of rapid shot and you can move to the next one. Due to the low casting time and incredible high range you can "machinegun " to dead before they get to you (but you will have to carry lots of bolts with you ).

I love this skill and can find great uses for it :

- When I hit a mob with my long shot and still little HP with him I can 1~2 fast shots and he die .. that's faster than loading any other strong skill like blast shot , and I can save it to the other mob I can hit .. that's make you farming , training faster ..

- It have long long distance .. you can do 1/4 ~ 1/3 damge on mob before he get into other skill range ..

- fast shot is the best way to make sure the mob get posion on him .. try it with gaints ..

- you can lure mobs to the party without moving from place to place ..

- you can use it to link the skills and make them like a chain ..

- when pvp chinese charecters and do crit on them and know that there is small HP remaining use fast shot and this make you kill them before other pot used .

- while jobbing and lvling up people you can save the life of the person by this skill .. you see the monster or npc thief going to attack him .. fast select and fast shot and he will leave him and go after you .. also can do this with more than 1 mob very fast .. you have no cooldown time .. so it will be good enough to protect people .. ( remember to use scorn with human thiefs .. )

- at last you can use it with alt key to become purple from long distance .. this will give you the chance to enter safe zone again with no fear of being killed by him .. this trick works to make people murders .. lol

It's a great skill because you can shoot it straight after a Power Shot and it will pretty much combine damage with it.

It hits so quickly after the first skill, faster even than a nuke and then a shout imo.

and allow me to add to the fact that Fast Shot only need a very very small amount of MP

In terms of MP consumption to damage ratio, Fast Shot is the most worthwhile skill to spam

Fast shot = waste bolt, i only up lv1, for lure, and for fun.

and i also giveup rapid shot.

You'd rather do one attack in the same time as you can do 2?

i rather to save some sp to add other skill.=.=" waste mp for low damage attack. Xbow only need high lv attack for mobs and pvp.

Waste of MP? lol? It takes you 7 mana on 1st level... 9 on the 2nd... lol...

great puller skill, and only 15 mp FOR:
quick shot with super fast cooldown
+15m range

thats TWICE a long shot and u can shoot monsters almost out of sight

ya 7/9mp per shot dude. how about the sp? do you think is worth for lure and up this skill to high lv?

Not realy but it's good for a finish off if the monsters have just a little HP when you hit them...
