Silkroad IS A BROKEN GAME

I see sooo many people complaining. I see sooo many people botting. I see an incompetent company that doesnt do one thing to address the massive botting issue, but most of all, I see a broken game.

Do you know how long it takes a player, who plays his Pure INT Nuker, the fastest killer in the game, for 24 hours a day to reach lvl 80?

2 Months of 24/7 playing. That is WITH a Gold ticket, the gold to buy pots, the gold to buy the potions and pills needed. NOT ONLY THAT, but many times it takes even more then 2 months of playing every single hour of every single day to reach 80 as well... Approximatly a bit more time for other builds.

The EXP rate for this game IS ATTROCIOUS.

At lvl 59, I gained 2,200 EXP per kill from lvl 61 monsters...

At lvl 69, I gained 3,400 per kill from lvl 67 monsters and just a bit more from lvl 70 monsters.

At lvl 59, the amount of exp I needed was around, what, 40 Million? Maybe a bit more or less?

At lvl 69, the amount of exp I need for leveling IS 68 MILLION EXP, while the exp PER KILL has only gone up 1,000 EXP...

People, this is not right. The time it takes for a casual, 2-3 hour per day player to gain a level PAST 30 is a couple of days. Thats right, we are talking about NO GOLD TICKETS as well. And now, a new cap is planned for level 90, which will take A LEGIT PLAYER WITH NO GOLD TICKET 2 YEARS TO ACHIEVE.

THIS EXP SYSTEM IS BROKEN.

Ok, so why not just do QUESTS? The quests in this game are horrible. Either you run out of them with 70 exp left for your next level, or there ARE none. The quests are repetitive, always kill this or collect that- the rewards in exp, sp, gold, and items ARE COMPLETLY NOT WORTH IT. Joymax needs to put their fcking head out of their arse and instead of just translating a game for hardcore koreans, make it so that WE CAN ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE, not be forced to bot, powerlevel, etc... just to be able to do simple things....

THIS QUEST SYSTEM IS BROKEN.

Simple things like jobbing. Thats right, if someone is 2-4 levels higher then you, they WILL kill you. Consider that in a game where a huge majority of the players BOT. Yep, doing your job in Silkroad online is as fun as putting a sign on your face saying kill me.

THIS JOB SYSTEM IS BROKEN.

Now, lets talk about the obvious, BOTTING. If I go and take a walk through the world of SRO, before even leaving the lvl 1-20 areas, I can obviously spot hordes of botters- gold farmers, specifically, ALL ATTACKING THE EXACT SAME MONSTER EVERY TIME. Not only that, but almost all of the players ARE BOTTERS. There are some few good legits out there, but I can guarantee you they will bot or bot before hitting level 45 or 50, Its that simple. There ARE NO GMS in sight, THERE ARE NO SPECIAL events except pathetic excuses for EXP and GOLD increases. Not only that, when there IS a GM message on the screen, IT IS A COPY AND PASTE MESSAGE- Not once on Odin have I seen a NON STANDARD message, not once have I seen an actual GM, not ONCE have I seen a special monster or special GM circle.

THE GMS AND MANAGEMENT OF THIS GAME ARE THE WORST OF ALL GAMES.

Thing is, this game runs OFF OF YOUR MONEY

Its YOUR decision to stop buying silk,

Its YOUR decision to leave

But if you love Silkroad Online and its potential as much as I do, you NEED TO VOICE YOURSELF AND FIGHT BACK

if you agree with that I have said in this post, copy the whole thing, and make a topic EXACTLY like this one with the SAME title to let the corrupt GMs in this game know THAT THIS GAME IS BROKEN

The exp required increased by 70% while the exp rate increased by 54%. Which means that leveling is only 129% harder. Not enough to start bitching in a forum which is not even remotely connected to the SRO staff.

When did it become easy to level up in MMORPGs? Because WoW, Diablo, Guild Wars, and a few others have easier exp systems, the others should too? MMORPGs have been hard grinds and consuming your TIME since the days of Everquest. Also, Korean MMORPGs in general have always been a bit tougher to level up in than other MMORPGs.

If you feel the MMORPG is consuming your time, its doing its job.

Its not getting to the cap that matters, but how much fun you have getting there. I have friends who've been under level 40 for over a year yet they still manage to have fun jobbing, hunting uniques, pvping, etc.

The point of the tough exp rates in the majority MMORPGs is to separate the hardcore gamers from the casual gamers. Casual gamers can still have fun too, but you can't expect to put compete equally with those who have put more time into the game than you.

There are games with 100-150 level caps with exp rates lower than sro and their are still many who reach that cap without cheating.

The majority of MMORPGs follow the same format.

No one forces you to bot or powerlevel. Joymax hasn't said powerleveling is against the ToS, so if you want to get powerleveled, go ahead.

I wouldn't say the majority of the players bot but the majority of the "characters" in game are bots. There are many gold bots in game.

Their 2-3 higher levels than you? Good, they deserve to kill you. You shouldn't be on equal footing with them. And its not impossible to kill someone higher level than you depending on your build and gear. With the implementation of the European race, its much easier to kill people higher level than you. Now people are complaining that people lower level than them are killing them when before, many felt that if you're lower level, you couldn't kill a person higher level.

You didn't really complain about jobbing. Your point still resides in your hatred of the exp rate.

I'm in a whole guild full of 50+ people who I know are legit and a union from as far as I know is legit. I myself have 3 50+ characters and I'm legit. You say people will bot after hitting 50 yet there were people who hit the 60 cap before item mall, before autopot, and before bots were so widely known. You shouldn't generalize.

Its a waste of time to ban gold bots since it only takes a few clicks to create more accounts. JM is working on ways to block them from entering the game.

Take a look at many other free MMORPGs out there. Most of them suffer from the same problems.

While you are correct in saying that GM's are never seen, you are wrong in saying they manage the game poorly. If any major bug or issue comes up, it addressed and handled well.

Personally, I've seen a GM a few times and the GM harmony circle many times.

I'm pretty sure you're wrong. From a business standpoint, its pretty much suicide to depend heavily on a money source that fluctuates. I'm pretty sure each and everything they sell is a profit for them but I doubt they NEED your money to survive. They probably could close down the item mall for a year and still maintain the game.

You know the GM's can't control everything right? Its not their job to ban bots, fix lag, etc. The GM's job is to monitor the game and relay information about bugs and such to the development/programming team.

If you're going to be mad at anyone, it should be the development/programming team or which ever team is responsible for these issues.

The game has its problems, but its far from broken.

Despite its problems, Silkroad is one of the best F2P games you can find.

What he says is true. The game is addictive, and hard to stop playing, but it is really annoying how there is many issues with the game and the GM's are never around.

Let me guess, you're new to the game? Why are you complaining? There are players at the cap that have been playing over 2 years, I'm sure if they could do it, so can you. It's a game, the grind is a part of it. Ever heard of powerleveling? JoyMax kinda made it easy for you to hit 70+ after this lame update, it's a huge slap in the face that a new player could hit a higher level within a few weeks, while there are those grinders that have been at it for months alone.

This thread you are starting is an even bigger slap in the face to those that have actually taken the time to work hard on building and grinding their characters to the level they are at.

legit grinding at normal times will take way longer than 2months to reach 80cap.

and a 3+ days for level 30? no way. i grind at the most efficient mobs and ive got a char to lvl 31 in a day, and that was legit, no ticket, no powerlevel...

there is no monthly charge, buying silk is completely optional , don't be ignorant and say otherwise , the game is F2P...go explain it to your family lawyer or something and he'll tell you also , free2playy.

With that said , of course the exp/lvling system is designed around using the item mall tickets, but ill bet the people complaining about this are kids that don't buy silk and just whine.
