There is only one reason why.

-The lack of noob protection from higher levels-

Joymax's triangular conflict is indeed unique. However, it has major flaws that make it nearly impossible for any hunters/thieves to have fun fresh off lvl 20. Only traders have protection from higher level thieving because of their 1* ability. This is totally unfair.

All players suffer at lvl 20. The triangular conflict is the trump card, the masterpiece which makes SRO so different from other MMPORGS. But see, when you're lvl 20, trying to thieve, there is no one to thieve. One stars protect all traders up until lvl 40, which is lame. When you're a lvl 20 hunter trying to protect traders, a lvl 60 theif comes along and pwns you. Basically, Joymax's message is, play and grind until youre high enough to deal with high level hunters/theives. Its ridiculous. Its also a business stragtegy too-Joymax wants you to grind for 10 more lvls (at the least) and hopefully force you to buy some exp helpers.

So whats the solution? Same level only triangular conflicts. So for example, only players in the lvl 20 range will be able to kill each other while thieving/hunting/trading, and higher levels so on as well. In my opinion, this would greatly help those just starting the triangular conflict and make it a much more noob friendly environment to play in. Because this system which the tri-conflict revolves around is totally impractical. Unless you can lvl fast enough to the 30s or 40s, the only job you can safely do is trade at 1* and leave a petty 40k profit at most. 1* traders arent even 100% guaranteed-high level theives can spawn high npcs and own a 1* trader. This has happened to everybody, whether its now or 1 year ago, its undeniably unfair for those just starting jobs.

In that hour you were "trying" to thieve at level 20, you could have already leveled up, it's the hard truth, but until you do level up, you will only get 1 shotted every time you leave town.

I like the trade system, I personally think it's one of the few good parts of sro.

wow what a pissoff. this boy is angry that Im making too many posts  none of its even spam lol.

And tell me, who goes over 1* at lvl 20? Did you? I dont think so. And is there even a route where "ppl dont see them" that ppl arent "smart enough to take"? It doesnt matter what route you take. Theres only several that are actually feasible, concerning how much time and money youd put in.

And dont give me that bs about "no risks-no money." Are there risks for a lvl 80 trader packing several million gold trade runs on an elephant? Nope, I didnt think so. There are few who could topple such a player. Im also talking in part for the lvl 20 noobs-read what I posted above. Im saying that if its not fair for noobs, then the game is not fair at all. Im sure everyone suffered at lvl 20.

And why would you tell me to shut the **** up? Did I do something that bad? lol, youre such a funny kid.

It isnt about thieves versus merchants. Its as you said a triangular conflict. Thieves, merchants and hunters.

learn this.

you get a hunter.

yes when i was level 20 i did 2*s

yes my first trade 1* was popped

no i didnt get popped for a long itime afterwards.

considering the money u spend.

what does this tell u?
..

u dunt trade. unless u have a hunter and ur doing more than 1*

since 1 * is basicaly useless.

u stall and u get more money
and lik he said its

merch + hunter
vs
thief

yes there is danger with levle 80 with 5 star elephants .

even if he has hunters. there are a danger in it.

no matter what level you are thers a certian danger.

You shouldnt rely on the <40 lvl protection whilst going trading. Its there to help new players who start out on any server, some form of protection and initiation into the merchant side of the triangular conflict. As you spend more time on that server, make friends, join a guild, or just get to know your regular hunter, you'll be able to get help and do bigger trade runs.

In practice this is not always the case <.<

But thats not always the case for just starters. Even at high 20s, its difficult to complete a 2* and above trade run. I dont know about other servers, but ALPS is strewn with thieves like mines. Its virtually impossible. I do 2* trade runs and above only past 12:00am because of this.

Other players have their own lives too. No matter how friendly or how close you may be, there is no guarantee that a guildmate or a friend would tag along with you and protect your ass for the entire time. Big time investment for higher players for lower levels. So in the end it comes down to who has a higher lvl (therfore higher stats).

Here we go again. Another person who has failed to see the point of an MMO.

I will put a few simple questions to you.

1. If you have spent a year grinding to lvl 80, would you like it if you could only kill people your lvl and not have the ability to fight anyone else after such hard work?

2. Do you think that you are forced to trade by yourself, or hunter by yourself? or theif by yourself?

Plain and simply this is an MMO. It supports team work and communication. Thats what all MMO's do. I started thieving at lvl 32. I had 2 lvl 60 thieves helping me out. Because of this i was able to thief successfully, even popping lvl 20 traders. But i was only able to do these due to team work.

By taking advantage of all your resources, you will be able to efficiently make the best of your time and effort.

Also if someone has grinded to lvl 80, they should have the right to kill a low lvl trader. Why would anyone grind for so long if they couldn't even have some fun at the end of it? Low lvls shouldn't be invincible just because they are too lazy to grind.

Theres my 2 cents

What I find interesting is that although he has a very valid point, everyone seems to just want to shoot him down. I'll admit, I'm a level 30 thief on thief level 2. But admittedly, you really can't do much. The only reason I managed to level up to level 2 was the pre-Europe trade conflict where you had a much greater chance of picking up stuff. Now, with the Europe "update" I haven't managed to thief successfully at all, even though I've spent 4-5hrs on it (although a female Europe thief who happened to be in my party and have never thieved before has successfully thieved a lot. Obviously, because some high level male player is "engrossed" by the female Europe thief suits).

Thats not what the point of this topic is. Its about unfairness in the real SRO world. Tri-conflicts should strictly be limited to people around your level.

And stalling can get u a lot of $$ if u do it right, and theres no risk involved in that.

This wouldnt work well. Imagine only being lvl 20~25 for the rest of your sro gaming experience, just so you wont have to deal with players from any other levels. You could be a merchant, get some gold, farm for better equips for your level, and if you lvl to high, just delevel.

If they ever implement a level restriction such as that, there will be less of a reason to be in a guild or a union. Its hard enough to get a guild war, now you cant even help your union mates cause of some level restriction. Its a bad idea, which I hope would never get introduced.

Obviously, job level restrictions and guild wars are totally different things. Theyre different. Simply because there are level restrictions for jobs doesnt mean it must be for guild wars. Lets think flexibly.

Let me rephrase. At the server I'm playing, its hard to find a guild war so jobbing is probably the only team activity we do on a regular basis. Its whats keeping us together in the union (among other things like cape fights, equipment trading, socializing etc). The level restriction would further impair what wouldve been a union activity.

I was hunting for 3~5 stars at Lv4x on Troy a few months back, and being one of the oldest servers, Troy has many, many high levels. Yet we seemed to make more successful runs than most did. And no, we didnt have any players at the cap hunting for us.

oh and everyone got killed by higher lvls when they were low lvl so just lvl and youll get to kill low lvls xD lol

You make it sound like getting 1-40 is like a hundred years. lol With a Euro you can do it in a few days. With a Chinese char you can do it in a week or two. Shheeesh.

to be honest, i dont really like this new system either.
I miss being able to switch around, being all three jobs at once was great fun, some of my friends are gone hunter and im gone thief, so if we're on the battlefield we're against each other.

and yes i understand what you mean, there is seriously no point for those below lvl 30 or possibly 40 to job. they'll just get owned.

one thing is.
korean air makes a lot of posts when they could easily be answered by search funtion as somebody had said above.

second.
yes there no risk in stalling. no shit. but yes some glitches i guess.
but we're talking about jobbing

third.
your a noob. yes you are. no point complaining after its been done like 50 times. your just posting because your level 20-25 weak. and proably got robbed.

you want to make money. make friends. do u have any? make friends and see if they're hunter.

if they're hunter you could ask them to help u do mutli star.

there are many different ways to get from city to city. city to stronghold or trade point.

and if you cant see it. your just blind.
if you take a tour around silkroad. just on a horse around when your bored.
you will see a ton of areas where nobody goes. maybe bots but thats it.
and lik yeah... bots gonna global your on a trade run.. right.

yes it hurts to be low level we were ALl low level once we know how it feels to get robbed or so. you get back up. and correct your mistakes.

in the game for jobbing.
if you want to make money
like i said before..

without a certain ammount of risk there is NO REAL MONEY.
