I plan on making a wizard, but I want to level as fast as possible. If I leveled with a 0 gap, and raised my wizard mastery every time I leveled, how far behind on SP would I be? Or if I raised my wizard mastery every time I was able to get new skills (IE: 4, 8, 12, 16 etc etc). Would I be behind a lot of SP, to the point where I would be gimped after a certain level? Or will doing the idea that I want, enable me to level a lot faster?

Anyone got some good input on this? I'm kind of stumped. I really don't want to farm SP. I would rather just hit level 40 or 50, then start farming sp. Rather then be level 15 forever.

I think it depends on how many different force trees you would want in it. I believe that if you pick about just two (like fire and ice) you can go with a 0 gap with maxed masteries (of those trees) but i'm not really sure. :/
never made a wizard

Well my plan was to max all of the mastery. Max a lot of the fire and ice skills. And then pick a few skills from earth and lightening (Root, Mesh root, and teleport, maybe some others).

I also want to have cleric sub, but I wasn't planning on leveling that until my wizard is 20+

well, i'm a wizard with just 3 trees and skipping some skills and even so i didn't have sp enough to 0 gap all the way...

i could barely make it to lvl 20 with enough sp for all the skills i wanted... and i did a couple levels with 2 and 3 gap..

The way I have been leveling so far, and it seems to work. Is everytime I can upgrade the skills I want, I level up my mastery to that level. So from 1-4 I had level 0 wizard mastery, once I hit 4, I bumped it up and got my skills. from 4-8 I had a level 4 mastery, once i hit 8, I bumped up my mastery. Doing it that way, will that net me enough SP to keep on pace and kill all my fire and ice skills?

The only reason I do it like that because I want to level the fastest possible, and I know having a bigger gap = less exp but more SP and vice versa.

with a 0 gap you can max atleast 2 nukes (its all you need in either pvp or pve till lvl 50 or something) but if you want to have it all maxed go with a 3 gap, you'll lvl up fast since wizard kills so fast, just not as fast.

What levels faster:

Wizard / cleric

xbow rogue / bard

I'm guessing wizard because of the insane damage they can do. But can't xbow rogues grind on mobs 9 levels higher then them?
