need advice: comparing 8d sos spear and glavie

Ok, I'm pure str glavier and I'm looking for a new 8d weapon. The problem is I can't find any good one for a normal price and some guy is selling 8d sos + 5 spear kinda cheap ( 51% phys and 61% mag), good blues. So, can anyone tell me how much is the difference between 8d+5 spear and glavie for phys atk? Thanks a lot

If it's against a NPC glaive, buy it, if not, you need to tell us the stats of your glaive.

I know it is better than a npc one

it is just, if it doesn't have that big difference in phys atk, i will take the spear, and exchange it for a glavie later(maybe), And I know the glavie will always has bigger phys attk than the spear, teh question is how much

Yea need stats of glavie but the spear will get the job done.

9D but you get the idea, about 122 for 9D so around that margin for 8D too.

Just use a simple rule of three (ignoring stat%) as a guide:

You are considering phy damage for your str char,

Glaive = Spear+3 = Blade+3 = Sword+6

So the 8d sos+5 spear is equivalent to a 74 spear, therefore similar to a glaive 68+3 (or 64+7) in terms of total phy damage dealt. Just use this as a quick guide when comparing options for using suboptimal weapons.

Too bad I can't test the damage they would make
Or i can buy a npc glavie and spear and see what the difference is

EDIT I think I'll pass the spear, regarding the price, and continue looking for a glavie.
Anyone selling a nice 8d sos glavie?
