Enough said, Joymax needs to stop posing as a middle-man company between the bot makers and the game and just sell the bot options in-game for their cash. Obviously nothing will be done to botters as long as they buy silk so why "fake" it any longer?

Game deleted, absolutely no fun watching people pay to not play a game.

they couldve had that option a year ago and been like '20 bucks a month and we wont ban you for botting" = richness.

but now Joymax itself isn't even legit.

There are open bot servers in tSRO from what I've heard...so it's not exactly far from impossible...Furthermore, the most fun in game (at least right now) is at cap, where gear is the most important thing and if everyone is 80/capped, you can have the most fun in massive hunter v. theif wars. I'm not advocating people use bots, but I am saying that in other versions of SRO...people [as in most, not all] are only 90 [in jSRO, kSRO] and full farmed because they bot. It's possible for players to become 80 and fully farmed by hand [i.e. the only player I admit is lvl 80, fully farmed, and legit, Deacon] but frankly, few on these forums are 80 and legit...FEW!

Furthermore, from what I've read on other forums, there are 100% stones for silk in other versions...hence people have 100% blue stats...

STILL FURTHERMORE, there are other types of astral (bastral I think is the +7 one) that are like astral, but more expensive...and work for a different level. i.e. use astral for stopping at +4, use different astral for stopping at +7...but much more costly. Since people ccf even astral on iSRO, I doubt that it'd ever be added...in this way the game would be a slightly more fair in terms of gear.

Honestly, I could care less about people botting. I pay to log in, not to play. I DON'T care about player bots, I don't care if it has taken you 2 years to get to 55 or 1 month. I DON'T CARE.

I DO care that my friends can't log in, I DO care that I can't log in, and I do care that I can't get any of my irl friends to try this game since they can never log in to my server.

It's not the fault of PLAYER bots...just gold bots.

Eliminate gold bots, and I'd love this game much more so. Add a theoretical bot option and on Oasis at least, only 4 unions will be lost...Defiance and SEAsia. The majority of the server would just buy more silk for botting. Joymax makes more money.

This is what I think, what about you?

It's funny how UNTRUE this statement is. Look at past banlists, I can personally show you people I know who've used a bot and bought silk. Stop spewing random shit about Joymax please.

Check Voyage Century Online, not for the game play but they have a item mall product that once activated your character needs to stay in one place and not move. For six hours straight you receive 10,000 exp every 10 seconds. You can activate one of these books once every six hours.

Why don't you take a second look at the ban lists...

They were MOSTLY gold bots. No one cares about 10 banned gold bots PER SERVER. Maybe yours was lucky enough to get ONE OR TWO banned player bots...but guess what: JOYMAX DOESN'T CARE.

Send in all the bug reports you want, send in bug reports about yourself botting (whether true or not), you'll see NO GM WILL EVER PM YOU.

and Gold Bots don't buy silk and thus Joymax takes issue with those. Player bots buy silk and gold max gives them a pass. Gold farming sites sell primarily to legit or bot players? So Bot Players buy Gold farmed by Gold Bots. Now back to the clueless above who only take issue with Gold Bots, buy a clue, it isn't in the item mall.

Silk Botters buy from Gold Farmers = Server FULL

Just a note about this post, it wasn't about Gold Farmers or Full Servers, it was about Joymax being deceitful. Just read a few posts above where someone thinks Joymax deals with botters or that the problem is Gold Farmers only. Gold farm bots would NOT exist if Bot Players didn't buy gold.

True...

Silkroad is a Korean based MMORPG which typically revolve around flashy skills, low exp gain, and level importance. The grind is nothing they aren't use to. If they can do it, there are no reason why players in iSRO can''t do it. People just look for excuses to accept botting.

If you're even thinking about botting or reasons to legalize it, Korean MMORPGs aren't for you.

there is only one reason why joymax hasn't implemented legal bots on iSRO is because of ccf. as long as people continue to ccf, nothing will move forward at all. besides, if they sold bots, they might as well sell pre-leveled characters since they'll make a lot of money off of that...

You miss the point and the hypocrisy.

By not banning silk using botters they are, in effect, selling bot'ability. Since the gold buyers are silk using botters..........need I continue to draw the lines many miss in my original post?

Stop blaming JM. It's the GMs that are doing nothing. From what I've heard Ksro and Csro are actually good games with good GMs. In Csro they even have an online bug report function, and the GMs there are actually nice. So stop blaming JM and blame the Isro GMs.
