From now on when asked, "What is so great about America?," I shall point to this thread.

Oh really? Not in the least bit? So that's the reason that while McCain was a PoW in Vietnam and Kerry and Gore served on the front line, Bush was in the National Guard, getting so drunk so regularly that he was often not allowed to fly a plane.
I don't think he's a total coward, but I don't see why one of his greatest traits is courage, when there are many people who are far more courageous and brave.

In your response to everything i wrote you didn't disprove anything i said. You basically called me GWB conspiracy theorist and i respect that cause im a bit paranoid about the Gov't. Gallup is one place to get poll info from and they aren't always right though they are pretty accurate. Polls are not a one stop shop and Gallup, they have made errors and been wrong b4. And still i like the way your ignoring his second term approval ratings like they don't matter.
I didn't say we were in an economic disaster i just said the economy isn't doing so great. And its not. I think i proved that when i compared the GDP to our external debt. We are very close to borrowing as much as we produce, there was a time when the US was ALOT more self-sufficient. I don't blame Bush for all of that but during his term as president he's done nothing to help us get out of that economic rut. He did spend more money during a deficit but i guess thats just me being crazy still @_@.
I don't know how you think i have an "oh poor me" mentality seeing as anytime i talk about myself its usually in glowing exaggerated terms. I get my news from what i see going on around me from ppl telling me they've been laid off because there companies outsourcing, from news report telling me how many more ppl have died in Iraq and no one can explain why we're there in the first place that sort of thing.
Im left-wing and proud of it i've chosen a side and am willing to defend it. I don't see how just because i think the Gov't hiding the truth about whats its doing im an auto-left-wing-conspirator when its been proven time and time again that the Gov't is always hiding what its doing. Watergate, MLK, supplying weapons to Osama...the list goes on. You've got your head shoved up somewhere cause the country is in a poor state and you think its doing wonderfully, the same ppl here who complained about jobs being lost are the ones agreeing with you that the economy is great. That doesn't add up.
Thats it im done no big remarks, insults, tell-offs, nothing. Im done and i think im right and im sure if you did a Gallup poll the majority of ppl would agree with me so im sorry if i disappointed Reise, The Racist Canadian, and the ever America loving Folin.... Talking to you is about as entertaining, useful, and productive as talking to a brick wall. Clearly it is impossible for me to say something because you either do not read it or do not understand. You take my fragments and make them into a statement, a false statement. Time and time again you have proven your inapt ability to comprehend the simplest of statements and words. I am very sorry that you are incapable of reading a post on a forum and understanding its contents. Stop stating my ideas totally at the wrong side of the spectrum, if you can not comprehend my last 3 posts then there is no need to comment on them. Perhaps someone else will read my posts and I can have a debate with them, but they were intended for you originally. Sadly I now see that no matter what i say, you will claim I support the opposite. It is impossible to have any kind of intellectual conversation with such a backwards way of communicating. I removed my rebuttal because the last rebuttals i made were completely taken out of context, misunderstood, or just butchered for some purpose, I do no know. It would just be mistaken again and the cycle would continue. May some divine power have mercy on your soul.
Your crying me a river of how misunderstood you are. Thats all i got out of that statement. I didn't take anything out of context and i didn't misunderstand what you posted.
You made a paragraph on the credibility of Gallup, i countered that. You made a paragraph telling why you using the GDP as an assessment of the economic state of the country was correct, i countered that. You made 2 paragraphs that were basically just insults, i didn't really counter that.
I don't see what your whining about me taking out of context and not getting what your saying. I mean i love the condescending way you respond as if you coming down to my level to talk to me but your last couple responses have been basically just insults at my intelligence lacking any basis nor could they be considered rebuttals because you didn't rebuke anything i said. You called me crazy.
Im talking to a hypocrite who thinks he's intelligent which is alot worse than talking to a brick wall. At least if i was talking to the wall it wouldn't continuously inflate with an undeserved self-righteous ego. Your like a dumbed down version of your favorite cheerleader dom, only instead of responding with formulated ideas you just b1tch and moan for 3 paragraphs and call it a day, wait he does that alot too i guess you guys have alot in common including your right wing superiority complex.
But i digress. Like i said earlier you can whine and complain about what i posted all day long but if you can't refute it then your just some 16 year old who reads the New Yorker and is currently on the rag. I've been waiting for a counter and now its my turn to feel disappointed and let down...i'll send you a tampon and when your feeling better maybe you can make a post worth reading....

and we're retarded because we had two chances to realize that we had an asshole of a president but we still voted for him. Thanks to the hillbillies in texas who think ther so smart I blame the quality of the candidates in those two elections, as well. I would have voted for Gore, and I voted for Kerry, but it was from a "lesser of two evils" perspective. I liked Gore, think he would have made a great president Goddamn tree-hugging hippie...I hate that farking queer... so bush is better than gore? bush is the hippie and farking queer. I can't see any reason why being an environmentalist is gay. Gore was definitely the better candidate \ last i checked he was the winner yes its unfortunate isn't it? Bush the dumbass who is killing our soldiers That is exactly the kind of ignorance this country does not need. My guess is that your a blind partisan. You know little to nothing about politics, your just a bandwagon bush hater because everyone else is, your friends and/or your family is. The loss ofAmerican life is truely sad, but people die in war, and truth be told, if you want to see real death rates, look in our own country. More people are murdered by other people, cigarrets, drugs, accidents, illness, and a myriad of other things. Those are so unimportant i assume?
every country has that problem

And bush went into iraq for stupid excuses about WMDs in iraq, which we didn't even find. Tell me one good thing that we got out of iraq, and I see none. yeah none. By going into iraq:
1. the middle east hates us even more
2. europe thinks we're retarded
3. get 3000 soldiers killed
4. find nothing of importance
5. diverted attention to iraq while afghanistan is the place where we shoulda stayed
6. Since iraq is a mess now, its a new haven for terrorists.
7. Since we went into iraq, thousands of iraqis have died and I'm sure their sons hate America. There you go, another generation of terrorists to bomb america
iraq has turned into another vietnam. We have to realize that going into another country and forcing it to do what we want isn't gonna happen. Look at vietnam. The problem is that they have the support of the people. Our nuclear bombs and abram tanks can't beat that. Thats why we lost vietnam too. Some countries just can't be controlled. shoulda stayed in afghanistan.

No, they SHOULDN'T! You just missed my entire point.
Here, maybe this will help, they say repetition is good for memory.
U.S. government no structured like this:
The president does not have unlimited power, however he is Commander-in-Chief without power to start a war. Yeah, I know, now your scratching your head thinking what the hell am I talking about, aren't we in a war?
Answer, no, Congress did not declare war, and ONLY congress can declare war. What Bush did was use presidential action as Commander-in-Chief. Now, I'm not going to be too optimistic about your knowledge of check-and-balances beyond the nice little triangle "Court can declare laws unconstitutional, congress can impeach, and president can veto" so you may want to research a little on what presidential action is before you come back here. Oh, and while your there, be nice if you read up on congressional action too.
-Intermission-
One good thing from the war? We captured Abu Humam. (Quick, go google it so you know who the hell I'm talking about and can appear more knowledgeable)
Hm.. that's one, do I win something?
The U.S. lost Vietnam because "they had the support of the people".
-pause-
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? Do you even know what happened in Vietnam besides the usual, "U.S. lost, it affected the U.S. badly. All my friends say Iraq=Vietnam, must be true, because this war is bad too, and in pre-alegbra, we learned if a=b, and c=b, a MUST = c, duh." The U.S. lost Vietnam in most part because they put an incompetent idiot as "president" of the south, not saying there aren't other reasons; however, "they had the support of the people" is not close.
Oh, and the U.S. captured Saddam Hussein ending a totalitarian regime and acts against humanity, many many many Iraqis were able to vote for the first time, regions now have a police force that actually do something, huge parts of Iraq are stabilizing, we proved the U.S. military supremacy in the former part of the war (took very little time to sack bagdad), and also captured or killed Al-Queda members. Not to mention I can count the number of successful terrorist attacks on U.S. soil after 9-11 with no hands.
After that, well things didn't work out so well. But but but wait, who handles foreign policy and sets guidelines in Iraq? Surely not Congress. Who approved funding for the troops without an exit strategy (I think I may be returning to something you can understand) or how to establish a democracy? Definitely the president, because he approves his own battles and has power of the purse.
I'm not saying all the good things to come out of Iraq outweighs the bad, but to say there is no, none, zero positive news from Iraq is ignorance that matches only the average American.

Shadowman, sir, need to go retake history class. WE LOST VIETNAM BECAUSE THEY HAD PEOPLE SUPPORT!
Do you think the viet cong could match our technology during the war? They had a continous supply of soldiers and continuous help from the people and that is why they exhausted us.
Iraq is just like that! Do you think terrorists with ak-47s can fight abrahms and missle strikes? No of course not. But why do you think they are still keeping the country unstable? because of fresh recruits and support of the people. They can hide in peoples homes, get their food, bla blah.
@Stuckup I doubt Koreans hate the US for entering iraq. Anti-Americanism in South Korea is more like because of the american army presence there.
Any anti-American Koreans out here? Don't be afraid and say so, I can't hurt you.
If your an anti-American Korean, then FU*K YOU. Without America, we'd be communist, speak japanese, or worse be under control by China. You noobs. Maybe thats why SRO international version sucks, because the Joymax team wants american players to suffer.

Quote: "cow - ard: a person who lacks courage in facing danger, difficulty, opposition, pain, etc.; a timid or easily intimidated person." now other than Nam in what other instance has President Bush exhibited cowardice? Quote: brave: possessing or exhibiting courage or courageous endurance.
hmm nuff said for now >.>, lets see what happens next

There are the bush-bandwagon-haters saying whatever the want to, and then those who actually know what the hell they are talking about, making the bush-bandwagon-haters look like total retards.

Obviously George W. is a leader. A very good one too, but not a very smart, or morally sound one.

You forgot to mention that the U.S. put him in power in the first place. Also you fail to mention how many Iraqis civilians U.S. soldiers killed after invading Iraq.

FENA screwed itself from katrina. And stuckup means by how the government responded to the emergency, which was not well recieved by the public.
And I'm sure if you were one of those people living for a week at the football stadium, you'd be angry with bush too. You think everyone else is wrong, but your the idiot because you've never been in their viewpoint. Only your own matters. Why don't you leave since you don't even know what the deal was with the US government and katrina. Its about how we responded to the emergency not the emergency itself. I'm pretty sure most people here know that hurricanes are natural disasters and can happen anytime. Thank you, Captain Obvious.

@Bartorix I feel 2 tired to goodle it so google president bush and hurricane Katrina. Hurricane Katrina? SHIT happens get over the Farking hurricane...There have been dozens of other shit that was worse than that Farking hurricane..Earthquakes typhoons, and tsunami's...and all you mention is one Farking hurricane from which some minorities suffered because they had to stay at the airport? This has all come down to another thread filled with minorities bitching about the U.S government...don't like it? Leave...
and what is that supposed to mean? For ur info in about 20 years ur race will be a minority. Let's see how you feel then.

Thats what you think....there has always been a way with dealing with minorities nope u racist bastard...you can't deny the inevitable you act as if there are more whites than any other race. Only 11% of the population on Earth are white the other 89% are black. PB_and_J wrote: This thread is amazing.
There are the bush-bandwagon-haters saying whatever the want to, and then those who actually know what the hell they are talking about, making the bush-bandwagon-haters look like total retards.
nope, I know what I'm talking about because I gather my opinions from what ppl around me tell me. I have an Iraqi friend, I was friends with a Katrina "refugee" when I was in Texas and they tell me what other ppl around them tell them. And what they said was not pretty. So actually go out and listen to ppl instead of Statistic bc statistic arn't always right.

Minorities aren't the only one who suffered from Hurricane Katrina. And that incident was different from other disasters because of the way it was handled. Poor response time from the government is one reason. I never knew someone could be so ignorant.
