i'm a bit of a noob and i'm thinking if i should start getting sox or if i should stick with npc gear. whats so good about sox anyway? are they like runewords in diablo 2?

At 4th Degree I had almost a SoS Full Garment Set...

Bought a pair of Lv 46+3 SoS Garment Pants for 10.5m then...(during GDF event...got rich >_>)

Since then, I couldn't afford any SoS at higher degrees....

GDF event? whats that O_o i hate missing events...they're always GOOD and yeah. lol anyway what's degrees also? lol sorry i'm a noob.

Didn't get one flag out of that event. Out of hundred of boxes.

GDF event was basically the Thanksgiving event that happened last year when the servers (all at that time) got GDF, or gold dragon flags which added 2 str and 2 int.

the degree of the weapon, is for what lvls its intended for basically, what ever build you are, after you get to lvl 8 you can use 2nd degree weapons, lvl 16 is 3rd degree, 4th is 24, 5th is 32, 6th is 42, and 7th is 52? (i don't remeber where this one starts) 8th degree starts at 64 though.

edit armor also has degrees but their lvls start at where the weapon does for that set and ends adding on peice of the set for every lvl up, example: 2nd degree armor hands start at lvl 8 and boots at 9, shoulder 10, helment 11, pants 12, and body 13

also all the items say what degree they are

i got sos equips from degree 5-7 and i didnt bother getting 8d cuz lvl 80s think youre 80 based on your equips, so even if youve got 1st tier sos an 80 is just gonna come out and own you.
took me like..2 days to get full 5d sos cuz i couldnt find shoulders. then my 6d sos was handed down to me by a union mate all at once for 50mil.
i sold all of it and then got 7d sos in about 4 days cuz i could never find legs and chest.

i did full sos from 4th all through 7th


easy, just buy each piece individually

lol, I just installed Diablo 2 a few days ago... to play it when I'm bored of silkie. I can say that, SoS are equal to the magical items[Yellow words] som can be equal to the items with green/blue/red descript. and sosun maybe can be compared with golden descript. words items. Not sure, thou.

too bad people can get capped in diablo 2 in less than a day.

I'm Lv 22 on diablo 2, but I gamble a lot of stuff, and got all my clothes/weapon/shield with magical enhance. xD I wish silkie were that easy.
