From what I understand, the fortress is in the Jangan area so taxes only apply to Jangan. I think if you don't go to Jangan taxes won't effect you.
There are multiple fortresses.
Only one is implemented or I've only seen one.

....You people do realize they can also go -20% and save everyone money, since they those negative taxes probably won't be deducted from anywhere....
Also, you do realize the only reason there aren't a lot of strong legit guilds is because people start giving up at a certain level when they can no longer take the grinding. Then they either bot or stop playing.....or if they are like me, they make the nearby botters hand grind for hours so they can level. You would be surprised how many of the euro botters I've gotten to hand grind in my party cuz 10%+/hour at level 80 with 0 gap is damn good experience for them.
My point is, sure, they botted, but if they got 80 and actually know what to do in a party, they probably hand grinded more than a lot of the legits who are lvl 64-70. And if they didn't, then all those 72+ euro legits would rape them so fast, they wouldn't know which way is left.
So if you think botting and gold buying beats a legit euro party with 80 skills (and yes, that's quite possible) then you people are sadly mistaking. You will learn that once you see how those sieges work, and that the difference between lvl 80 legit and lvl 80 botter is non existent.

I don't know about other servers, but Athens have enough legit guilds for them to get the fortress... The problem is they are all seperated x).
We have like 4 legit unions that are not "strong" as in number of guilds and people. If 8 of the guilds actually joined together they'd be pretty damn strong but i don't like the chances =].
And no.. It is not impossible for legits to hold the fortress... From what we know so far, if a legit guilds makes a last minute rush on the Heart and kill it, they would then only need to defend for about 10-15minutes (Joymax will implement some sort of extra time add-on) and then they get the fortress =].

Joymax knows full well on every server bots will dominate the fortress wars, its just a new demonical plan by them to force legits to buy the item mall pots.

MaliceArmy on Odin server, full legit european guild.
They are a truly remarkable look into what legits can do, the potential teamwork and a few hours a day can do. They own Odin, they took away the spot from many botter guilds.
Oh for fucks sakes. You guys are never happy about any Farking thing.

Quit the game if it's so horrible. And stop the Bs blah blame Joymax on evrything really . And the Fortress Wars dont even stardet yet so nobody cant say how it be.

They should make it like WoW, where different groups owned diffferent cities..

You guys should check what time this fortress war thing starts, It's like very early in the morning PST & EST (obviously alot of people are still asleep) and early noon GMT (which some are at work/school). One more thing, Jangan town is the only town that is going to be available for this war. I mean.. come on, who wants to put tax on pots/npc gears in there?
Honestly speaking this update doest even get me excited at all, maybe if it was 90cap raise. I had enough playing WoE in ragnarok which is 2hrs every wednesday's and saturday's, it gets boring and boring.
Anyway my 2cents.

Fortunately I dont have any plans on those Friday mornings, as I have no college and such but seriously the time they put the Fortress Wars cant be good for anyone, for its very early morning even for me.
As for what the topic starter says, even though bots do seem to dominate most things in this game, I will do my best to take the fortresses for the legit guilds on Athens, even though we lack in numbers we do not lack a brain as such most botters tend to do.
