After a long time i was looking in the GD section and the Player Suggestion section in the Silkroad Online Forums. i found a lot of threads about people quitting and saying Joymax sucked and all, but i found this very insteresting.

^Damn he beat me to it, but you did forget one part. They throw an event or update at us and everyone goes "OMG YES I WUV JOYMAX" then that 10% comes again. Complaining about bots that has nothing to do with the update/event itself.

I am just pointing out that there are 2 sides to the story.

We as customers have an easy job to say that we dont like the way a company manages this game. But the people who manage this game prob have to answer to a bunch of directors who will not be glad if they ban 90% of the people that buy silk.

If this game would be totally legit, they prob would have enough people to fill 4 or 5 servers instead of the huge amount they have now. Due to income they might not give us nice updates every so often. And yeah I kinda like the speed in wich the updates come. Considering how huge they are.

If you want perfect management go to another game, I like this game and take all its flaws with it.

The reality of it is this game will always have bots and gold spamers because joymax makes money from them. You have to face the facts that the game is free. You load it and play. Either you like it or hate it. No amount of complaining will change those facts.

Seriously NO ONE CARES. Stop playing the game if you don't like it OR JUST DEAL WITH IT.

They dont need to ban 90% of the server, all they need is to update the client every like 2 days , so bot programs wont work on the new version they will release every 2 days, also if they restart the game once per day that will be more than enough.

No, the botters wont get bored because the faster everyone reaches cap and stuff, the faster JM opens new cap...

See they didnt release updates fast because they want to keep u stay, this game would finish to develop in like 3-4 years. After that ppl will leave. But as long as they dont release the last update, u still want to play.

Believe me, This game is expanding its recognition, and Further update on Islam will surely bring Joymax forward.

almost all of the people who whine and complain about this game are the ones who spend little or no money on it, why the hell would Joymax listen to moochers. They leave bots alone because they dont bitch and spend money. Most companies would kick out the mooching complainers, be thankful you get the chance to try and play this game for free.

only problem is that its not the player bots thats the problem , its the multiclienters and clientless chinese goldcompany bots. Not to mention the fact that we had no event worth mentioning since europe update ,and it took them 2 years for that one , and i dont even wanna talk about their hack exploit and the fact they deny anything with it.

Hehe exactly what i was thinking. The Gold bot companies must pay joymax or something, mayb thats why JM allows them.

no play = no silk = dead game = delete = new game

What happens when you can't connect? hehe you can't play and when you aren't online, your friends wonder why? days turn into weeks into months until you don't even remember or think about silkroad.

Your absence may trigger other players to stop playing and their absence may trigger others too etc. What happens then? Lack of people or challenges will be no fun, so guess what, more people leave until silkroad is probably dead with just gold botters with no one to buy their gold. I dont mind hand gold farmers, but 24/7 bot gold farmers are ruining the game really bad and really quick, its like a disease..

Sure Sure then why don't you just quit? stop playing, I would but Im high level and I own, so not yet, besides its a free game, Joymax is paying for me to play xD Im just saying what could and is happening at the moment.

Alot of people are trying to, I guess get to that stage where they are high level, fully farmed and experience the feeling of owning and the "Fun Stuff" only available after you are at the Cap Level and Fully Farmed + pimped gears ready for some action. But you see it takes a long time and it is your desire to get to that stage thats why you keep going and going even thoe how bad silkroad is. I can say "I've been there done that" Been at the level caps, fought everyone, killed everyone at least once, owned etc The Stage where its like you clocked the game, conquered all, finished the game, something like that.

What I found out thoe was that, it was pretty dead and boring at that stage. This would be my routine or only things you could do. I've done everything even crazy, evil fun stuff (Killing low level with Lightning Theif NPC).

Go Hunting, Theifing, Trading (about 3 hrs) then a catch a small job war outside dw east. After those go south DW and pvp, then what? ohh how about some pimping, *pimps some gears out*, and after that? nothing really but just repeat the above. Now we got fortress war but thats only once a week and all i got was "Cannot Connect to Server" and went back to sleep. My union can handle it so "Wooo" go Nike union and PiNoY xD they dont really need me anyway.

Then you find a new game:

*plays new game*

hehe this game allows me to log in first try, there is no bots because there is no need, levels don't matter, skill does, its all fast paced fun action,
never boring, quite challenging...now thats a real game.

*spends money on new game*

no play = friends leave = more of their friends leave and so on = no people = no fun or challenge = bored = no silk = quit = find new game = spends $$ on new game = happy

SRO will hardly have any new players really, its just old players who go to new servers or try different builds if they can log in. But if they cant login, its really just the old bunch who do the above. The Only reason why SRO looks kinda alive...is because of the infestation of gold bots. Haha I know you have seen it when a new client comes out and there is no bots....SRO is dead looking.

Also the lack of new players means lack of more players, less silk bought and also these old timers have like me, have been there done that. They know what its like and they know now NOT to buy silk, simply because it is trully a Waste. Even premium is a waste, a trigger scroll is just as good and for logging in, try your luck. Its free, just don't stress it hehe xD JM pays us to play weee

I didn't vote for Silkroad in the MMO voting why? because there were better free to play games. Even for the grafix, which is the only good thing about sro but something beat it but i wont say xD. Customer Support? non-existent and the other categories...dont make me laugh xD

Silkroad is to me and others, their first mmo simply because back then it was the best looking free mmo but there are much better free to play games out there now. You just have to take a look around.

Silkroad is already dieing imo, its the people and friends that make it worth my 5 mins to try and login but if i cant oh well...they are the only reason why i still play and even bother. Sure Sure Fortress war WHOA!!! but nah, ill give it a few weeks then its *snore*. It is fun thoe but hey its once a week and set at a stupid time too, nice one JM.

Silkroad is not improving, its actually getting worse and worse with every patch and every cap and every update and events too, also skills o_0. Let me take you back to Cap 60 *Flashback Music*.

*No Bots
*No DC, well sometimes but easy to get back into the game and continue the fun

Cap 70:

*10 Tries usually maximum to login
*Bots started to emerge, shortly gold bots in small numbers started to show up
*DC, the usual DC, especially when you spammed your attacks

Cap 80:

*"Cannot Connect to Server" You will be seeing this from now on alot, if you thought 10 tries was alot, wait until you try this one..oh wait i lost count. It should be "SERVER IS FULL OF BOTS, TRY TOMORROW OR NEXT WEEK OR NEXT YEAR, TY - JM" xD

*Gold Bots move from being small numbers to large widespread pests, occupying 70% of Silkroads maps and mobs and server capacity.

*DC, the usual, only now you DC while entering town or very conjested areas. Euro patch DC is the worst..read below.

Euro Patch:

*"Cannot Connect to Server" should be "If you really want to get in Buy a Premium otherwise i wont let you in. Actually some people with premium had to try 13 times just to get in....broken product much JM? You could just LOL at their globals; "F&*% Joymax this, F@#*& Joymax that."

*BOTS infest Silkroad like a disease. Silkroad is now terminally ill, unless we can find a cure for cancer.

*DC haha, get this, you DC when you teleport from town to town, eg: DW to Hotan, its still ok but you want to go to DW South to pvp... ops what
happens...you DC. Then what? Try to login for 1hr,2hrs,3hrs, tomrow. Althoe somtimes, depending on the conjestion, u are still ok. But get this, for fortress war, you have to go to hotan, from hotan to dw, then dw to jangan you dc...ohh bummer, guess ill play fortress war next week.

What is worse is now DC is almost as frequent as you see "Cannot connect" as the server capacity is so overburdened, one minute you are having fun in a Job war etc then all of a sudden you DC...lame then what...its so hard to log back in, and when you try after 1 hr or if you are lucky, first try, it is easy to DC again, least thats what happens to me anyway.

My friend gets DC everytime when going back to town to repot after a good grind..how lame.

Fortress war: same as above really just as bad

*Bots - probably only player bots will be still there but they dont cause much of the problem as GM's continue to ban so they gotta be careful.

*DC wont see much of this really unless your net is cut off or "inpection time 5 secs, please log off now to save charcter data"

Nice eh? but hehe that wont make silkroad better, it will just save it really.
Just save it from getting MMO award for "retired game" silkroad. I've been there done that, at the end there isnt much, im still bored to death. But maybe just maybe silkroad will get players back...maybe. Its abit late..the cancer has spread out far...like I said silkroad is terminally ill.

Gold bots are there because of the wankers who pay real world money for game gold. It's supply and demand. Blame the lazy asses who want instant gratification for the presence of gold botters.

Player bots are understandable... not that I condone them, but it does take forever to level in this game. I think that's the way it was meant to be. It's SUPPOSED to take forever to level... you know... so the game lasts longer?

But, human nature being what it is... everyone wants to be godly. RIGHT NOW! No joy in the journey. Well, whatever tickles your pickle.

The problem I see with it is that with so many people capping so quickly from botting, they add new levels/skills etc. before those leveling legit can have a chance to enjoy the fruits of their labor. My concern is that by the time I legitimately get to even just level 70, things will have changed so much, my planned build will be seriously old and outdated.

That's where the "unfairness" is, IMHO.

I've seen plenty of silk buyers complain about the lack of customer service from Joymax. I'm not a silk buyer myself, but I still complain because I can see how the people that do buy silk are treated. Even if every single person (legit or bot) purchased silk for premium and whatnot, there would still be a problem and people would still complain. Premium is supposed to guarantee you a slot on the server, but if 3500 people buy premium and all try to log on at the same time, not all 3500 people will get in.

Then you'll have 500 people complaining that they pay good money to get a 'guaranteed slot' on the server, but can't get in at all.

Joymax designed this game to be free, and allow customers to pay money to get 'better features,' so they should put forth some effort to allow people to more easily play the game for free. If free users have a better experience with the game, they'll be more willing to pay for upgrades through the item mall.

I've tried to get friends to play this game before. They download the client, make an account, try to log in, fail over and over, and uninstall. Why should they go out and spend money on the game when even that won't guarantee that they can play when they want?

They designed it to get people hooked on it so they would pay for the extra "features." They just make the client available for free to lure people in.

if JoyMax should ban the people that dont buy silk, then why does it say Free To Play in the SRO official website? i do not buy silk, why should i? it says FREE TO PLAY, and u can buy silk if u want to, they cant ban u just cause u dont buy silk (or cant buy silk). when i hit 16 (i will get to work) i will buy silk, but i will neveer buy premiums, cause paying $20 to log in a server, which should be provided by JoyMax, is just too overpriced. and by the time i hit 16, this game would be in the 100th position of MMORPGs.

When players are referring to buying silk to avoid getting banned, they mean their bot accounts.

There are claims that buying silk will ensure your Bot account to remain safe.

i agree that botters r 90% of the game because after the legend 2 patch there was like no one in the game....because botters couldnt keep up with the patch...but now they're back.

i just hope joymax would actually do something this time
