Well like title says IM confused
In a way i want to be multiple things but the motivation to do it stays there for a day then i over think it and ignore it
My first choice was into
Electrical Engineering then i thought To much math if i apply myself i can get it but i have a feeling there isnt really much future in it just $$
My next choice was working for the government Always a stable paycheck get schooling then work as a psychologist, maybe write a couple b rate books on philosophy and psychology.
Of course after taking maybe 1-7years of school in the subject
The reality that im not special nor a unique snow flake haunts me and constantly looking around me and seeing the people i thought would succeed, fail scares me.
I cant really find motivation
I love my life but motivation
to just go for money seems bleak,
I Dont want to be rich i just want something that will keep me alive and healthy and give me something new if not challenging.
or should i just go for the $$ but most people who end up hating there life
Any ideas sorry for the EMo thread just been thinking alot and the things that helped me not think are not working anymore

Dude, if you don't think there's any cool stuff happening in EE, you're crazy.
You can be an engineer and work for the government btw

just pick something that you're good at and what you actually like....
* I mean a skill, NOT Sro*
Something like, if you like cooking, and you're good at it, why not become a chef?
If you like to hang out with people, and like to organize things, well, why not be someone who... organizes big events?
and you can contineu the list forever, but that won't get you any further...
And If you truly love things, and you're good at it, the schoolwork required to become in that proffession is just an extra thing with it, which will be over in a few years...

Be a giggolo?? You earn money fast, and you get pleasured at same time. Well if you have that sexuality.

Yeah, but you also get the chance (a BIG chance) that some freaky old disgusting woman ordered you...
or a really disgusting man......

So.. most of the time you won't be very pleased with the person you have to please....

I my self... find my carrier before 3 years when I was 13, now I am sponsored by 1 shop and 2 firms (I`m AM for Vans and AM for Jart both east EU team) Its what I love to do and I want to do... Skateboarding. Soon when I turn 18 I`ll prob get payed for it. It will be cool you know.
So if you have any Opinions you love to do something just find a way to get payed for doing it. Dont think only about the $$$ thing about what will make you happy. And if something need a big or insane effort Its not so hard to be done if you know that the result from it will be grate and you will compleat your "Life goals" :O at least thats my opinions about that.
With two words - just do what you like and make money with it.

Well, I had exactly the same problem before entering University. I had the EE option because of the money and "success", but I've always wanted to be a teacher (Which by the way is really badly payed here). I decided I wouldn't let my family down, so I went for EE; bad choice. One month after I was out of it, and hating myself and my family; I hated that major!!! I entered again, but this time to what I wanted, and now I'm studying to be a teacher in foreign languages, 4th semester. I couldn't be any happier, so I recommend you to go by what you like, and not by what would give you JUST money

are you in college? do you already have a degree?
you need to do a job that you enjoy. Like say you enjoy drawing then you'll enjoy being an architect or interior designer

Gives you money
Pays for your education
Looks good on a resume
Gives life experience and will give you what you need to decide what you want to do with your life

Sadly, sometimes you have to give that up, not everyone can be what they wanted to be in the first place, sometimes the need for money can destroy your dreams

I'm starting videogame programming in march, hoping to become a level designer but not many people are into it and they need at least 30 students to start the course

unless your shipped off to hawaii or japan, I don't think getting blown apart by a car bomb is a secure way to pay for college

Thats not always the case, im probably wrong but i think they let you do the schooling first, then you have to serve in the military. Like say..if you studied avionics (think thats how you spell it) then all you would have to do for the military is help them fix the airplanes and w.e deals with avionics. They aren't going to send an untrained person out into the field.

Well military engineers or other electric engineers (maybe computer engineers) who work to design new missiles, bombs, jets, etc are safe. I'm talking about those guys fresh out of high school who go to iraq who think war is a safe alternative to pay for college

You can start in engineering and go business after you're out of college if it ends up being what you want. You can't start out business and become an engineer after college
Engineering has so many opportunities available it's amazing.
