I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for this, but the last few days ive only been out thiefing and I have to say thiefing with a wizard is the most fun I've had in a long time, last night we spotted 2 traders with 3 lvl 80 hunters and we rode up to the ferry they were going to and waited on the other side and as soon as they all came across (it was me and anouther lvl 80 wizard only) we slaughtered all 5 of them in 4 hits and made off with 900k in goods

Why should you get flamed for this? I think it sounds pretty cool. Wizzies seem to be in a very big advantage when your the first to strike.

was that you last night at sam dock?

I do think a wizard is the best for thiefing, so many times I see traders and hunters getting ready in town, I go invisible and follow them out of town and hit them as soon as the first spawn comes out, pick up the goods real quick, go invisible again, and they come out 1 minute later and start attacking my horse, then kill them again, and then scroll and start to get out of there.

What I think...
Traders= Assist builds like Cleric or bard
Hunters= Str builds
Thieves= Int builds

hide n nuke isnt a puss way, its no diffenrt then you lvling a skill cause it has bleed or dull, or using MS, its a survival tool, if I have life turnover on I will get 1-2 hitted unless im in a euro party, so the way I look at it is thats as pointless of a flame as people running around calling INT people noobs for using mana shield.

int thiefs are usually ideal but it's not really fun imo to 1hit most builds, 20 wiz vs 20 str classes would be a boring fight, rather wait for 90

the fun is the thrill of taking out 5-6 people with 2 people and trying to get away before they find you and you have to battle all over again, and 900k in goods is tough enough for 2 wizards when we both get a double spawn at the same time.

The fun part is trying to stay alive while killing like mad.

i wouldn't thief with only two wizards, that's the thing. i'm talking about thiefing in groups, when you have other builds and there are wizards who 1/2 shot people while people are tanking them.

but the fun is know that you also get 1/2 hitted and have to find a stratagy to take them out and set traps, more of a puzzle solving fight then just run up and go back and forth for 2 minutes till someone gets a good crit.

yeah but thats a no brainer, we usually travel with 2 man teams and spread out and cover all over the map, we find alot more trades that way and if one team gets killed then we all come to that trade.

not really. one wiz could take down two hunters and a bull easily, the two hunters probably wouldnt even get to attack. you can play a wizard to where you don't ever even get hit, if you stay at range, or move invisbly you can kill them before they have time to respond.

very very seldom does it work out that easy, usually you have to figure out how to kill them separetly, and on ALPS there is so many full sun people that it takes 2 hits to kill that killing 2 hunters might take 3 hits and you cant take a hit yourself.

too bad trading and thiefing has died down so much, back in the old days (6 months ago) there was traders, hunters, and thiefs everywhere, not you spend an hour trying to find 1 trade and it usually ends u being a 1 star under lvl 40.

i would say rogue with both xbow and dagger skills. use xbow extreme, use noise (if u have bard), use ur most powerful xbow skill (with most range too), and then attack. after u attack if they are coming for u, switch to dagger and use scud.
but i guess wiz would be good thieves too, cause they have fire trap (i hate that skill, wiz always use that in cape pvp :x), teleport (its like scud, but better), and of invisibility.

bigger map
restriction on where you can wear your suit
restriction on switching job
euro coming (everyone farming their euro char)

one of the reasons why Joymax made a good move to not release cap 90 so fast after euro.

give it a couple more weeks (maybe even a month or 2) after everyone is farmed and done with their euro chars you will see more and more job based pvp

i actually like this new system makes it a bit more of an adventure sometimes you will find a trade to help or thief sometimes you wont making those few trades even more fun.
problem is also teamplay is not really our strongest side as isro players.
i kinda look forward for the first huge trades

http://www.stage6.com/user/garin00/vide ... 2007-12-21
usually isro traders are small groups 2/3 traders only waiting for some unions to get some balls and actually organize daily or at least weekly job with the whole union.

lot of blablabla
ontopic
i consider most lethal thief: wizards. they can be terrible annoying especially when those bastards have instant return scrolls lol
