I honestly don't understand why people enjoy this build. PVP seems absolutely pointless because its just a 1 hit fight. Grinding would get frusterating because you cant tank your level gaints. Please, any wizards, post why you enjoy playing this build.

U can tank ur own lvl, just turn off life control and get a warrior in the pt..

I really dont think they can tank their own level. At least as a rogue in pvp, if i use DD get 1 kill with stealth then remove dd i can kill 1 wiz+ 1 or 2 chinese

I can tank my lvl giants without even close to dying.. i would advise look for better equips with +'s or STR and INT

pvp = 1 hiting lv80 (if no sosun parts)
pve = 1 hitting mages/shamans all the rest
pve = tanking party mobs same level, tanking every giants (and killing them)

If you cheap and running around in npc set and low level I can understand
your problem. +5 set and maxed blue stats and no problem here.

Well thats part of my complaint, pvp is hardly fun when you 1 hit an 80, then he turns around and 1 hits you.

Then go chinese =/

Reason why people like wizards is because they LIKE 1 shotting people just like noob high levels killing low levels because they think their tough because they can 1 shot low levels, they just want their e-penis to feel bigger.

i'd say its best for jobbing, u can go invis WITH your whole party for 30 sec (only for 80s), and one hit opponents

So... you begin the game in a high level already? and it´s boring to play because u kill anything in 1 hit...
Or.. u are too weak to kill a giant ...

So.. let me see... massive MULTIPLAYER online rpg..... hmmm multiplayer....

So... i begin in low lvl and can party and fight high lvl mob´s...
and... i can party and kill even giants...
people who knows that a wiz is a great damage dealer wants you in their party.... and all examples above means that u´ll have to PLAY THE GAME!! OMG!!!

So... i think it´s TRUE that someone acctually can play with a Wiz and have fun ... OR ... can play like other char, make party with wizard´s and don´t need to ~mimimi~ .... yeah... they can!

I play my Wizard build because I like the aspect of hitting hard and I do a lot of leveling, the Wizard is kind of like a nuker. Just a little more powerful in my opinion. I think the Wizard is quite fun for the reasons of parties and even good to help other friends on the server, providing help and good damage when needed it is a fun build for me. Hope this helps.

People enjoy the build because wizards are the killers. Sure rogues are pretty overpowered, but wizards are practically made to take out the enemy. 1-2 shotting full sun, and taking out everyone in a siege. Some enjoy it because it's challenging. You need to figure out how to use the skills and survive against your oponents, especially with the slow casting. Virtually every other build has an advantage over a wizard, except for a cleric. A wizard 1 shots a cleric and the cleric cannot deliver enough dmg in time and cannot disable the wizard with faster casting.

Sure, wizards die fast, and kill fast, but what's enjoyable about them is not the actually killing, it's figuring out how to do it without dying. That's why I play a wizard...and that's why I hate playing chinese str...no real challenge.

I don't play a wizard because I like 1 shotting people. I would prefer if no one is able to 1 shot anyone else even if they have sun...that's not how it should be, and if you have played other mmorpgs you will notice that doesn't happen in the majority of them. Even wizards can take at least 4 shots, and need at least 2 shots to kill another wizard...then again their pots don't deplete at supersonic speeds.

Can a wizard 1 shot a chinese with firewall on?

Alot of people enjoy playing glass canons and SRO offers them in varying degrees with wizards and rogues being the most extreme variation

No. Unless that 1 shot is a fire blow, with 1st hit taking down the wall, and the next 6 killing you.

Wizard/Clerics don't get 1 shot...and if you use earth barrier, you won't be getting 1 shot even if you are not a wiz/cleric.

Well, look at the brightside. In the art of powerleveling, Wizards make the most money because they give exp to others faster.

I play a wizard and I love it.
Yes we 1 hit everything and get 1 hitted (doesnt matter)
Wizards are supposed to stay in a party with tankers, so thats no problem.
I got cleric as sub mastery, so in pvp i use Bless spell, i can tank sun glaviers for 45 seconds.

The whole meaning of wizards is to 1 hit before you get hit yourself, and deal with damage in your share party, and in jobs.

Most wizards are wiz/cleric, and with Bless your def is equal to a lv 80 chinese. Wiz/clerics i've seen pvp never die unless they're noob and don't know either how to do alchemy on gear or they're literally newb.

he's just stuck in the chinese mentality of tank, hit for low damage, crit please, tank, hit for low damage, crit please, over and over again. The fun in playing a wizard is the strategy of killing multiple opponents without having to tank, and wizard are given tools to do that such as invisible, fear, mana drought, KB, root,and dull.

Wizards sure rock, i only hate it when they don't kill me they run into safe zone lol (same as rogues xD)

You can powerlvl other builds fastest with wizard.. thats the only reason i made one.. to have a jumpstart for any other builds i get an itch to make.

And when you grind you basically dont waste any gold... i grind for 3-4 hours with 5 stacks of mp pots only..

Well actualy i despise ppl like you, if your feeling alot of jealousy towards wizards just say so.
Coming from your words you just got owned by wizards alot and try to takeout your hate on the forums insulting ppl that play them, your the worst type of person community has and in general in most MMO's wizards and mages are the 1-2 hit killing class but defensless in melee , you saying that ppl are noobs that play them are just insulting mages worldwide, grow up and shovel your jealousy in your backhole.
I for one don't like playing a warrior class since they take too much time killing a target and die-hard themselves (excluding WoW), ppl playing them are just the lazy type that don't want to do much thinking and action and want to own by doing nothing? while the wizards , rogue and bow classes are the extreeme ones that die/kill fast and require alot of action and thinking on how to outsmart your opponents.

And yes i find playing a Wizard ALOT MORE fun than playing some chinese STR or European warrior build that takes alot of time killing a target and gets me sleepy while at it.

I have played almost each Euro class up to level 40 and 2 chinese toons; 1 is level 70 str glaive and level 60 s/s. After all that I found the wizard is by far the most fun for me to both level and job with. While its true you can 1 shot most people who arent in Sun gear or arent smart enough to buff and have their respective defenses up, the whole challenge for me as a wizard in PvP has been how to kill everyone I can while not dieing myself. I found that by not trying to 1 shot everyone as fast as possible and instead using my defenses and speed/teleport; I am just as hard to kill as almost any warrior because, I dont get hit often.

Its not a class for everyone, but I found it truly entertaining to no end. The chinese just need autopot on and can macro the keys to kill...over and over and over for months till lvl 80...not fun imho. As a wizard, when I solo especially - I need to be attentive to my surroundings all the time, my potion delays and the cool downs on my skills.

Having a pet to jump on giants or party mobs helps a lot too

LOL at wizards with bless. I play a force/fire/pacheon character now and I just lower ur phys defense and parry then crit u. True enough there are times where I get killed before hand.

I used to play 7:1 int s/s with 60 spear. wizards were absolutely jokes then. They couldn't 1 shot me even with LC on and when I got close to death i just switch to spear and crank bloody fan. you only have 45 seconds to live and I will make sure u will spend the majority of it either kd'd stunned or doing 600 damage to me. Then I'm going to have a Farking field day the moment it wears off.

Does this work for warlocks too? Seems to me that they're pretty similar builds.
