I'm playing through the game right now on expert, the bridge to Before I forget has taken my asshole unfortunately. Last song for the set too and I can't beat it. I got 75% and failed. >_<

I have a suggestion which helped me pass it (and get 98% on the bridge lol).

Lock your wrist as much as possible and use your index and ring fingers. Just jump from one chord to the next.

Evan, you're a naughty boy.

I have 5* and at least 100k on each song on medium, but hard is still too difficult for me. I 3* every song in quickplay(because one of the songs is unreadable, and I cant advance in career. Damn you, xbox), but I just cba to advance atm, simply because Im not able to. :/
I advanced up to the 6th tier atm, but cant get any further >>

Any tips? :(

What I would personally do is take a song with a good combination of Orange notes and hammer-on licks and take it into practice. Work on building the mechanics of your fretting and strumming. Get the basics of reading the note charts first and it will come with practice. Good Luck!

Lou is easy on expert. Just restart until your first power up is a Whammy, wait a few seconds and he auto fails when he has the series of green notes.

Just wish I could beat "Raining Blood" to kick Lou's ass on expert! :x

It was only a matter of time...

Hopped back on GH1 for a change of pace. HOPO's are impossible but I'm enjoying it so far.

Thanks for the res there Snudge. Just wait until Before I Forget on Expert.
Code: Select all

After beating Lou and Five Starring most of Career Mode, I've moved on to the beast. Currently practicing the TTFAF intro on slower and slow. Can 100% it about 6/10 times on Slow and 9/10 on Slower. I just need to be consistent when it comes to hitting the second note. Tapping FTW! Hands video soon???

My newest Video
Code: Select all

you are right. we should make new threads about everything instead of replying to ones that already exist. that wouldnt get annoying at all.

"wasnt there a thread about this a while ago?"
"yes, but i wanted to make a new one"
"FLAME FLAME FLAME"

Meh, went back to FoF because of Alarian Mod.. which is freaking great. Got bored and tried O2Jam.

Some retarded teens abuse the word "fail" in this forum, is it because they "fail" in real life?

I play Guitar Hero III on a regular basis. I'm not amazing or anything but I don't completely suck either. I've beaten career mode on every difficulty and still a lot of trouble with certain songs. (i.e. Raining Blood) My favorite songs on the game are mostly from the DLC from the Xbox Live Marketplace, 3 of which are Muse tracks (who woulda thunk it ).

Almost Easy - Avenged Sevenfold
Knights of Cydonia - Muse
Super Massive Black Hole - Muse
Stockhold Syndrome - Muse
Exo-Politics - Muse
Erten Was Wir Säen - Die Fantastischen Vier

and a few others. 8)

anyways i have a guitar with my own, but im off to a slow start it seems. i starting on medium difficulty and im not really getting anywhere keep confusing my fingers and pressing the wrong buttons at the wrong time. how long did it take you guys to get good at w/e difficulty you started at?
