I've run into this issue with a few different unions I was in. If I have friends in my guild, I stick with them regardless of whether or not there are botters in the union. When the topic comes up, I always make it known that I do not approve of botting (but of course no one cares). I'd rather stick with friends and put up with union botters (read: ignore them entirely) than leave the guild and be alone.
What is worse is when union botters get in my grinding area and repeatedly KS me. If that happens, I won't hesitate to (attempt to) make them murderer and take their dropped equipment if I think I can handle them. I don't consider them union (they're not even at the keyboard) even though they have the same tags over their head that I do. I haven't had the opportunity so far. If you're going bot, at least turn off KS mode so others around you can grind in peace.
In the meantime, I await the banhammer. I know it's likely never going to happen.

friends will remain friends especially when you know them in real life, changing a guild or union should not change much in the relation between you and your friends.
another big problem in silkroad, people consider you automatically as an enemy if you don`t belong in their union

Funny how that works right? When I first started playing SRO, I was in a guild with some friends that came in from myspace. It went well for a while until one member allegedly "started to whine about being able to run the guild better, blah blah...". So the guild master disbanned the entire guild, gave the empty guild to the "whiner" and started a new guild. I rejoined the original guild because I had nowhere else to go, no reason to really leave the original.
He then declared an unofficial, never ending war on the original guild and (at least claimed) to have several high level friends on the lookout to kill any of us on sight. He had no issues with me personally, but in-game declared me an enemy simply because of what guild name was over my head.
I sometimes wonder if that guild is still around at all.
