Just got back from major surgery in my farking mouth...omg hurts so much

Everyone should know what wisdom teeth are...teeth that grow much later on after your baby teeth (they should be called hell's teeth), well they either come out or they don't. For most, they dont, some have all four come out and some, like me, have them come out all retarded so they have to be taken out. Hurt like hell. They first numbed my mouth, shit that hurt the most. 5 shots of anesthesia in each gum of your mouth, and they're not even those small vaccine needles. The needles themselves are like 7 inches long, no exaggeration. Seeing them go in was psychologically unnerving. Now I'm sitting here with hugeass cotton bits in my mouth to stop the bleeding and blood that builds up in your mouth every 30 seconds...not to mention that my cheeks are all bloated. Now I cant even kiss my girlfriend

I have to eat these antibiotics/painkillers for a week, and I'm scared shitless I'll choke on my own blood while Im sleeping...

Dont ever Ever EVAR!!! get your wisdom teeth pulled out!

Awh. I hope you feel better soon!
My wisdom teeth haven't come out. AFAIK, my family as a whole's never had to have any teeth pulled out, so I doubt I will. If I recall correctly, there's a little bit in it to do with genetics.

My dentist is a retard. He's been trying to convince me to get my wisdom teeth pulled, but it seems to me that they're growing in just fine. Bastard just wants a reason to hurt me.

+1 - I got it done when I was 15: they valium'd me and apprently I told the dentist his drugs were good.

Afterwards, I was eating solid foods the next day - and taking your meds as prescribed will almost assure you that you feel no pain.

I got put to sleep when my wisdom teeth came out. After I woke up my mouth was sore/numb. I don't think it's that bad.

I didn't know they used laughing gas when taking out your teeth. Seriously some of my friends looked like they got whacked in the face

Did you keep the teeth? The toothfairy pays 5 bucks a piece for those babies. If you put that in a bank, you'll be wealthy by the time you're 300!

No. I was once a vampire in one of my anterior lives.

Yeah wisdom teeth suck. Luckily for me I got the general anesthesia so I was out for it, no shots, just an IV. And the vicodin they gave me after was fun. But it did suck really bad when the anesthesia wore off and the vicodin hadn't kicked in. Hurt soooo bad. Until the 2000mg of vicodin kicked in lol.

Had to get mine out last year. I was put under. Had all 4 out, was eating pizza the following day. I was so lucky with my recovery period compared to some of my friends.

Had mine out a few months back. They put me to sleep for it so I didn't have to see giant needles.. yay! But ya cheeks get hella swollen and the blood flowing out for the first 2 hours sure sucked.

Hang in there, take the meds as prescribed and you'll be eating solids in a day or two.... But Milksakes taste good anyways :D

Yes I'm bumping. Far less annoying than remaking a thread. Either get stupid comments.

Anyway.
My 2 left wisdom teeth just have been pulled.
Anaesthetics are still working thus my left side if fairly numb.
Painkillers will probably needed when they run out.

Might as well post pics. Its been a pretty long time. Where the wisdom teeth used to be are just little black holes.

Ah, wisdom teeth....

The first time a friend of mine came along but he fainted in the waiting room of the hospital .... The second time I went alone (for the other 2 duh) got my teeth pulled, went outside, waiting for the bus. Someone asked me directions and I guess he kind had of a shocking experience as I was like Gene Simons of Kiss when I wanted to answer him.... blood dripping etc

i still have all 4 of my wisdom teeth in my mouth. Ive had 7 teeth out in surgery before though. I wasnt awake for it though. 2 of the teeth were part of a 3rd set of teeth which were still fully in my gums basically right behind the bottom of my nose. They basically had to cut open the front of my gums at the top and dig the teeth out then stitch it all up again. That was like 9 years ago now though. One good thing about it was i could only eat mashed potatoe, yogurts and ice cream for a month because i couldnt chew food very well.
