I read once that the Y chromosone in men is dying, it's somewhere but can't be bothered finding the article on it. Ontopic now I think this is pretty cool. If cells can be created from certain other kinds of cells, it will open up whole new fields of research. Think about it, with this and the knowledge that we can create stem cells from ordinary skin cells, amputation could be a thing of the past. Arm gets cut off in an accident? "No problem, we'll just grow you a new one Mr. Smith". Utterly fascinating.

And how exactly do they plan on the sperm getting to the egg?
I think the only problem with this is that it may be potentially harmful to the child emotionally.
I agree with DotCom. Why don't they waste money on finding a cure for cancer instead of useless things like this. This "scientific advancement" as they'd call it, is going to be completely pointless. The idea will be abandoned or just not supported at all, and nothing will come of it.
