This so called war against bots on SRF brings a lot of turblence on the fora. Look at all the locked topic and the load of extra flame wars. What is this bringing us?

PS: Dont start to call me a closet botter, I totally agree that the botters should just get banned for life from these fora!

My point was to stop the hatred the pointing at eachother. I hope for once there will be a descent discussion about botters/srf and the way it goes right now. Im looking for people with a build opinion (is that the right way to say it?)

Yea. Things are chaotic at the moment. I can see that already.

Um, I think a bigger part of why its so dramatic is because we got like, level 1 remake accounts posting flames and many threads already where theres not even proof or the best is a screenshot of a "private message".

Heck, I could pick anyone on this forum and make a tastey screenshot of "private message."

IMO, if any topic is ever posted in here, it should be a classic "Heres some screenshots of such and such". Then we all say OMG daaaaaaaaaaamn busted. And thats the end of it.

Unfortunately, it will take some time to gain a grip over pandora's box.

However, at the same time, its hella traffic content.

The topic in EB was just locked because it didnt belong there

even before the war on bots, there were plenty of accusations which the rules prior to the war on bots were no pointing fingers or any bot discussion whatsoever. either way it brings argument after argument, lock after lock even when members know about the rules. now that we can point fingers and provide the necessary evidence, i dont see how this will make things worse but making srf a better place without all these people with their facades.

people also brought up; "what about 'friendship' or 'loyalty'?" what do you really see in friends? honesty to me is very important. why would you want to be friends with someone when they lie about cheating? it shows a lot about their character and their lack of judgement.

the first few weeks will be a lot of drama however like SG said, once we get rid of some of the closet botters, itll be smooth sailing from there.

as long those topics are in the exposed botters section why not?
you don`t have to visit it.

its a war section you dont have to go if you dont like the atmosphere there.
if you get into the line of fire and get shot we cant do anything about it...
SRF is going into some spring clean up. Might as well enjoy the ride or dont look at it.

Except that all the discussions are moved to GD now. I personally don't care for all the militant attitudes but as you say, i can just stay away from those threads. I am glad to see the ppl I like have stayed out of it all. I knew I liked them for a reason!

These are just the first few days of the Bots exposed subforum. We expected this rush and rage. And, well, if you look at the number of posts over there, the bot issue clearly is a hot item to legit SRF. I think things will become calm next week. We all just have to adapt to the new situation. People naturally don't like change

I prefer people to post their evidence and then leave it. No replies with people's opinions and their 'I soooo knew it' and anything related to that. If it was just a topic with evidence and nothing more, there wouldn't be flames, and the staff could deal with it way faster than now.

It seems SRF is more of a dictatorship then a democracy, as soon as somebody says something that chalanges anything we take as right they get shut down, before they can even present their case. Im all up for legit, but everybody deserves to be heard.

Its weird for me to say that since i grinded my ass of from lvl 1 -75 and still farming, but its the right thing to say and we cant lose focus of that

You're right. SRF isn't run by their users but by admins and moderators that devote their time at free will (volunteers). So if you call that dictatorship I won't say otherwise. If you want to discuss how the forum is being runned, either start a thread in Site discussion or PM anyone of the SRF Moderating Team. If you properly address your ideas / tips / complaints you WILL be heard

Look at "Exposed Botters" section and you will ses whats wrong with SRF.

Im not throwing a temper tantrum, and Its not my voice im worried about. Its the voice of the hypocrits thats being heard loud and clear.

look at "exposed botters section" and u'll see srf going in the right direction. so some botters contributed guides n shit, big deal. i can ask my legit guild mate and he'll tell me in 1 minute how to build my char, LOL, just like that. but oh wait, since botters cloggin up servers, i can't even login properly.

but i digress. u can't expect everybody to be perfect? there'll always be exceptions to the rule. but from what i've seen, mods and admins have been doing a pretty decent job.

why does it matter if these people botted or not? joymax doesnt care at all why should srf? alot of them were just active forums members. they dont bot on forums so here they should just be looked at as srf members.

and yet banned botters make new accounts to undermine mods and admins at every turn. yes, people do take it too seriously.

That Joymax doesn't uphold their own dignity doesn't mean we don't have to.

dignity? its a damn game that takes 100k monsters to lvl up. im legit and taking my time to lvl but for people that dont have time or just want to be capped bot. its not a big deal
