this needs to be updated for the new alchemy since steady's original function has been replaced by astral, and steady now has a new meaning of not decreasing the durability during an alchemy failure

Some people have mentioned that if you fail an enchant that the weapon can "break" what does this mean? does it mean that the item is destoryed and gone from your inventory, or does it change to the "repair invalid, 400% durability increase" thing? or neither.
this is really important cause i dont want that to happen to my SOS

Also, what about astral? how do i get it, and then apply it to my weapon cause i am planning on going above +4 and dont want it to go back to +0 when i fail at +5.

Sorry another question, does anyone have % chances for each enchant, basically, does each higher enchant your success rate goes down?

this is what i think or know atm, correct me if am wrong

after +4 your weapon will have a chance of breaking (meaning it will be gone) unless you have immortal. the durability increase 400% are drops from unique monsters.

after +5 > +6, you can get durability decrease, unless you have 'steady', so even immortal/astrals wont help you there

you need to buy astrals of the same degree level of your weapon, which are ONLY available in item mall, so dont fall for those scammers on global

thanks Lance, very informative!
one more question if you know :)

When I fail at +5 and say i had bad luck and it WOULD have destoryed my weapon, but i have immortal on it, does the immortal save the weapon 100% of the time?
or does immortal only have a % chance to save your weapon when it tries to destory it cause you have bad luck ?

immortal will 100% save you

bt the immortal count will go down, say you had a 2 immortal /time/times and u fail, if it saves u, it will go down to 1 :)

Did anyone bought Astral from item mall before?
And if you plan to fuse Astral with any equipments together, is there any chances for the equipments to fail during the process of fusing.

Let's say this LV16 SOS Bow +3 with Astral on it, if i plan to +4 and it fails will it back to +3 or +4 or straight to +0? Can you guys understand what am i trying to say?

astral will only save items that are +4 or higher.

so there is no point in buying silk and putting astral on your weapon until you

reach +4. if you FAILED at +4 it would most likely go back to +0. although there is a chance that it could still stay at +3 if your lucky.

hi, when i open my alchemy window, i only see two options, material process, and attribute enhance.... i don't see any options for enhancing equipment, unlike the screenshots which show 4 options.... i can't put my sword in either option, either.... do i have to be a certain level? I'm only 16.... trying to enhance my SOS weapon for better farming power!

Yes in rare cases the Item can actually be completely destroyed.

Wo... Lol if your just goint to +1 it or +2 it there is like a near 0 possibility its only when you have a lot of failures that it could be destroyed

Point blank. You weren't lucky for crap.

I've assimilated crits/brs on items
If i try to fix it I usually spend about 10x more cash than I paid for the weapon/item

It WILL work. It CAN work..It just didn't.

From what i understand:

Steady - This will decrease (not sure if anything is %100 in this game) the chance of loosing durability when trying for an enhancement HIGHER than +4. EG. I have a +4 weapon, trying for a +5. The enhancement fails. With steady, the main durability stat (not the blue one) stays the same but removes one of the steady blue attributes. WithOUT steady, the item has a possibility of loosing a percentage of the main durability stat (again, not the blue stat) This will show up in red writing above all the blues at the bottom (Maximum Durability Reduced xx%)

Immortal - This will eliminate the chances of an item breaking (again, if anything is %100 in this game, lol) when enhancement fails when going for more than a +4 (+4 seems to be the magic number) If there is an immortal blue stat, the alchemy fails and the item would have broken, then the number of immortals on the item will be decreased by 1.

Astral - This will prevent an ALREADY +4 item from dropping below +4 when trying for an enhancement HIGHER than +4 (trying to go from +4 - +5) Again, it only works when the item is already +4 or higher. The number of Astrals will be decreased when the item fails.

Nice guide Ryoko :)

Yeah and I also heard luck increase drop chances on creeps

Is that a myth?

No myth, saw someone with a glavie with lucky5 and every kill had a drop of weapons or elixir!!! so not fair... AND they were questing... so each kill had the quest item drop. My gf was the one to notice this

Taurus feces, luck is only alchemy related, tried it with a couple of items on different lvls, no connection between lucky stat on items and actual droprates.

No it doesn't break. Only from +4 and over it breaks. Don't worry and gl with your alchemy ^_^

tnx for the quick reply :)

i'll try to make it +3 first. is there any chance an atribute of the weapon will change if enchantment fails to +3? what about +4? i read that the durability might change.

just waiting for a confirmation :)

tnx all, and good luck ingame!

ps edit: i found a steady tablet. it states that in case of a failed enchantment it helps not to loose durability of the respective item. it doesn't help in keeping previous enchantments or blues.

Ok, I have a +4 SOS Bow at lvl 16. It has 4 immortal and 1 lucky on it. I guess my question is, does the lucky and lucky powder stack? And are there any known odds for a regular item and what bonus each lucky factor gives?

blacksun: No, no attribute will get assimilated when trying to + an item. Using an elixir will only effect the + status. When going for anything above a +4, you need (well, not need, but its recommended) that you have lucky, astral, immortal, and steady. Lucky will help it succeed, astral will keep it at a +4 if it fails, immortal will keep it from breaking if it fails, and steady will keep it from losing durability if it fails OR succeeds.

RedFortune: Sorry, i dunno ;\

recunni: I like to think that if there is lucky on an item, and i use a lucky powder that i have a better chance in it succeeding. Nobody can say for sure, its all in your mind and in the roll of the dice. You should astral that +4 sos bow and +5 it :P
