I find it quite ignorant to believe that if you +5'd a lvl 1 blade, it'd multiply in damage by leaps and bounds.

so how does the + calculate how much damage it adds?

and + only affects the mag/phy damage correct? :D

Maybe on the 7th degree blade :D but on 8th degre it's definitely different. My SoS glavie (42%) phys. damage was 910 @ +7 and 956 @ +9 so that's a 46 points difference in damage and so each + was adding 23 points :D  My speculation is that it is different per level and per (%). Example: 7th degree would be 18 points but 8th degree would be 23 points. Those points are consistant but also differs by the % next to the physical damage. If you have a 42% blade it'll increase by more points then a 0%

Here's how it works. I will use numbers because its easier to comprehend than my broken english.

Blade +0=800 physical.
Blade +1=815 physical.

Blade +2=829 physical.

Fail at +3, goes back to +0.

Blade +0=800 physical.
Blade +1=815 physical.
Blade +2=829 physical.

You will get a random boost to damage on your first try to +1, and then if you fail, your +1 will STILL add the same damage if you re-apply it.

The specific numbers aren't verified, but the thing about reapplying +s is.

so am guessing the phy reinforce or the degre of the item has something to do with it then?

That's something I try to tell everyone I know that asks for alchemy help. +3 is not significantly better than +2! If only people would understand that. Espeically when you can't afford to get the weapon back to +2 if it fails.

Maybe its just me but i find that the percent kinda matters ALOT when your comparing, 'cause having a +3 with 70% is like having a +4 and a half, i think anyways. well?
