How much do JM pay you John? Many kind words there.
Back to topic, I totally agree with you that SRO is JUST A GAME. Couple of hours of entertainment and gaming is an escapade to real life. I am not going into the players characteristics on botting, gold farming etc. that is in the grey area of the gaming spirit. If people need to do this in game, I am happy to know that is another loser in real life that cannot deal with real life competition.
However, I disagree that SRO should not be crucified as the word "free" comes in the mode of packaging. I do casual gaming after work and I do buy silk, which is a form of payment to JM.
As it is, the gaming community, me amongst many do "pay" JM for services:- to address issues like server lag (Rofl, WoW operate in a single server with higher gamer on it), in-game policing (bots/farmers), game security and account restoration (hacking and punishment - I CAN'T believe that JM do not assist in restoring hacked accounts, the game security is heck low). I am sorry I do not agree with your point that JM should not be deemed responsible to run the game as any responsible gaming company is doing.
As far as it goes, so long as you are able to distinguish between real life and gaming, it is all good and being an advert gamer - if things ain't going right, there are many more options out there. Lastly, good luck and have fun.
