partial healer
IMO there is really not much point in being a
partial healer, either you get it or you dont. Being lvl 64+ and only being able to res lvl 30's, having harmony therapy to prevent lvl 30 mobs from attacking, only being able to heal ~1k hp....its really too little to do any good.
Healers are quite disadvantaged the way it sits right now, but its not impossible to make a decent one. The Force tree dosnt give you any skills to make you stronger, faster, take less damage, etc. You only take it for the benefit of others.
I chose to take a healer role because i have always liked to have that skill, and i never saw many high level res'ers, and knew i would play a vital role in my guild by having it.
The way i am making my build, as it stands right now at 80 cap, is:
80 bow
80 light
69 force
61 fire
with 10 mastery levels spare when im done. (less deleveling of skills)
When the 90 cap hits, it will be along the lines of:
90 bow
90 light
90 force
30 fire
Reasoning
Bow is my weapon of choice, so its going to max.
Force is essential for the role i wish to play. It will go to the max so i can res everyone and have a circle that will keep anything out (within the restrictions of course).
Lightning is my imbue and where my main buffs reside. Grasswalk and Phantom....As a bowman, range is 1 thing that is going to keep me alive, or get me out of a sticky situation. The imbue has a splash, which helps lure mobs, and has a shock status which decreases your enemies parry. The added parry buff will help take less damage. The magic attack buff adds to my overall damage.
Fire is more important to me than cold, but less important than the ones listed above. i will get this for the few % Phys attack power (by passive & buff). The small difference the fireshield skill will do. Also, the small difference the mag defence buff will do.
Alternatively, the fire and lightning could be switched, though i personally wouldnt recommend it. Speed and Ghostwalk are 2 skills that i could not live without, and are essential if you want a chance in pvp. The damage you would gain by fire [by the buff (7%) and passive (6%)] is substituted by the 16% magic buff. The magic defence lost from the fire buff, while it cannot be completely compensated for, a good set of garments should do quite well. And immunity via Fireshield, well, if we follow the same route as kSRO then immunity will not exist...so pills are the best bet for everyone. Whether a status lasts 2 seconds or 16 seconds is irrelavent because a pill will still be used.
hmmm
I think thats it, lol
Im gonna get back to work now i think
