i use the pen-tool in illustrator, but pshop i normally use for just fooling
around so i dont need to be that precise. would be great to have a small
guide. id like to fool around a bit; i like the style in reKs and your latest
couple of sigs.

Hey, Rizla...
I'm downloading Photoshop as we speak, using a special method.
I just have a few basic questions, if you could please help me answer them?
You're amazing at Photoshop, but I think you mentioned that you were enrolled in some art school currently as well? Do they teach you this kind of stuff at Art School, or did you learn by yourself?
Do you think in 3-4 months, I could ever become as good as you? My eventual goal is to design a new Logo for my parents company, as well as a new Postcard... want it to look GOOD. Make my own Sigs as well - do the kind of stuff that you can do.
And is Photoshop hard to learn? I mean, what the hell is all this Renders and... ah... seems difficult.
Thanks.
Oh, and about the girl... is it just me or does she seem to have some... very masculine facial features?

I'll be sure to do that. Thanks, haha. Would you mind helping me with tiny questions, if I ever had any? Could just send you a really quick PM - wouldn't be anything major. Maybe just, "What's a Render?"
So... what's GFX?
And yes, that lady/man in that picture is starting to really freak me out.

Sure..
A render is a cut out from a stock, a stock is just a picture
GFX is Synonym / abbreviation of "graphics"
eg. y0 d3wdz... th0ze gfx 1s t3h r337#@%!

riz, your brushing is so good it makes my teeth hurt.
one of the signature features of your style are the ribbons of color that run through your pieces. i would very much like to know how you do those. the blue beam of light - w/ its sparkly glittery offshoots - is awesome as well, and i would kill to know what's going on near that droplet. c4d? stock?
zomgwtfh4x...
also, i totally see what you mean now about text and edges, and making it obvious that you're breaking the rule if you're gonna do it.
and penelope cruz is not masculine, she just has a pronounced nose :)

1:Blue Line, Pentool, right click path-> stroke layer. Further edited by smudging/blurring(behind the head mainly). Part in circle; Looks like extra brushing, white/light blue. Perhaps added layer style, I'm bad at those. Wait, that is supposed to be the waterdrop xD. Ok, get it now
2: Little dots; That's either a large soft brush, outer glow and set to diffuse, opacity low(1% orso) or a C4D. not sure. Still looks cool
3: Again a pentool for the line, stroke. Added brushing for effect(thicker at end, little 'light-dots'(small brush)
4: Stock of what looks like a DJ in the background. with a city included.
How close am I, Rizla? ^^;

I know most of the pictures from these Sigs and stuff come from gaming websites or whatever... you just take a picture, and then you crop it and then change it and then do al this lovely stuff to it, so it looks completely different. However, in the end, you still used that picture. So do you have to cite it or give it credit or anything? Isn't that plagarism? Also, is a Render just like... you take a picture that has a background and a figure in it, and you cut the figure out of the background? Rizla wrote: I guess if you consider penelope cruz masculine Im going to bed right now, Ill answer mo questions tomorrow night all.
TBH, she looks ALOT like a guy to me... for some reason.
