hehehe right now im getting courage\master\wep elixers\steady stones
to get +5 100% dura and get 0% phy up.
does anyone know if its safe to try to get 0% phy so it wont mess up my crit? how bout if i use 20% stones is it safe?
cost me a shiny nickel

Use 10% stones, not 20%. Your crit is always in danger though.

Use 10% if you can and hope if anything does get assimilated its not the crit,
try to get the phy reinforce up too its jsut as important Imo

Imo id try to raise the phy% and phyreinforce% even if it does lower the crit as id prefer higher overall damage and less crits then low damage but lots of crits. but thats jsut me. i mean you could get lucky and assimilate something unimportant but you could end up with crit2, so its up2u

i stoped a lv 70 char cuz an afternoon i spent 120m on elixirs FOR NOTHING
its hard to know when to stop when you alchimy
ps : i also made a spear 64+5 with 5 weapon elixirs no astral nor luck T_T dunno why it happened when i was just spending the extra elixirs of my storage but wouldnt happen when i really want it on a sos spear64

+5'd and failed enough items over 4 to know you wont need steady / immortal for going to +5. After +5 you would need immortal and steady.

oh ffs, I'm sick of you stupid noobs that are afraid of the big bad assimilation monster. Here's how it goes down. With a 30% stone, that's about a 1 in 3 chance that assimilation will happen at all. Then there's a about 50/50 chance the stat it affects will get worse and a 50/50 chance it will actually get better. There's like 15 stats that can change with assimilation so the odds it will be critical is 1 in 15. So that leaves us with a 1 in 90 chance that your critical will go down with a 30% stone, or a 1.1% chance. In other words, it will never happen. A 10% stone reduces it to a 1 in 300 chance. Wow, 1.1% or 0.3% chance....I'm not scared either way. With crap stats like 1 int and 18 blocking, I would hope assimilation happens cuz something will probably get better instead of get worse
btw your Phys Reinforcement is 0%!!!!!!!! If you raised it up to 75%, you could hit something like 30% higher which is a 4000 instead of 3000. You could raise your phys attack power to 100% and not get even close to that increase of damage. But upgrade both and the affect multiplies because it literally is the physical damage x the reinforcement % to determine the damage.

Assimulation % doesn't mean the chance that the alchemy will succeed/fail, but if it will assimulate (Change a stat you weren't trying to change)
Even if it fails it can still assimulate. If it succeeds it can happen.
But assimulation doesn't mean LOWER the stat, it can actually RAISE it too! (Happend to me a few times  . Succeeded int stone with str 1 -> 4/5 and stuff like that  ) this was the most awesome i got mag attk +11% to +98% simply lovely. (I used to fear assimulation, but now i love it  )

Good points made above about the very small chance of stat assimilation. If you do alchemy you've gotta be willing to take the good with the bad. Even if crit goes down, it would really make more sense to beef up that phys atk and phy reinforce. Once you get those up, you can always try for crit again, if it's that important. I'm one to not rely on crits if it means survival (I'd rather have a hard hitting solid weapon w/ bad crit than a high crit with cr4ppy stats).
Depending on weapon, it helps to use 30% stones, especially if you have more bad stats than good stats. By using a stone, there's a chance to change one stat you're after and more of a chance to change an additional stat, and hopefully for the better.
Go for the phys attack, and phys reinforce and finish pimping it out with full blues. Most of all, don't worry about the crit!
